Unexpected evening selection
MOTHER INDIA
Each way
Has some back form to suggest she’ll go better than expected.
**
Mother India indeed did go better than expected, but hit the wall a furlong out. Was weighted directly under solitary trees and that told.
Solitary trees could not go on under the penalty and that impacted specifically on those weighted below.
** Mother India third on debut to two class 1 runners ( one second to commissioning) and will be interesting stepping up in due course.October 24, 2022 at 19:29 #1620001Newcastle 7.30
JEMS BOND
Only a watching brief but
Reappearance run will have put this runner spot on here.
Well drawn in stall 11.October 24, 2022 at 19:45 #1620003Newcastle 8pm
Reigning Profit
Win
Maiden but may have put career best behind lucky beggar latest.
Blinkers on for first time.
Ramon Di Loria
Win
Is top weight and drawn in the box seat.
Won here last visit and still below level of form enjoyed in Ireland.
Several pounds below high mark and very good form at dundalk.October 24, 2022 at 20:08 #1620006Reigning Profit
Put up another top performance and just misses out up the rail in blinkers 2nd @ 20/1October 25, 2022 at 13:21 #1620077A lovely winner for the soul selection earlier even if I say so myself.
George Boughey takes “foals to Newcastle”today when he sends Tephi on a recovery mission to Catterick.
This horse has been unlucky a few times now but will have every chance off bottom weight.
Only runner traveling from Newmarket to Yorkshire.
TEPHI
Win
Catterick 1.35.

At a massive price could come into play unexpectedly tooOctober 25, 2022 at 14:00 #1620084No joy with the foals to Newcastle aspect but on the premises for the yard to make the journey worthwhile at least.
Methodtomadness has course and distance and an 11 length last time out win to help assist with a rise in the ratings.
Reliable runner and the only course and distance winner. Still below best chase rating.
Fou Diligence
Each way in an eight runner race is a gift on debut for new yard.

An Irish raider by stealth perhaps on debut for new yard.
Brian Hughes rides this maiden hurdle winner on a decent mark after several good runs for Jim Motherway. Gone to Donald McCain and no suprise if he can get this one ready first time out.October 25, 2022 at 17:28 #1620122Nemorum

Jack
Ran a race full of promise on debut finishing third despite a slow start and being denied a clear run. That puts him ahead of some of the more experienced runners here.

OTTO OYL
Each way
Makes debut for new yard and heads to Newcastle for the first time.
Unexposed here and two wins in last three runs. Very well treated given that jockeys claim negates a lowly mark raised for those two wins. Every chance. Has raced at Southwell.
Four seconds today!!!
RAMPAGE
Win
Ridden by multiple group 1 winner Luke Morris, was touched off on turf on handicap debut.
A horse following behind has won twice since. Rampage therefore, has a huge chance here off his current mark. A lot depends on him adapting to the grass favourable surface.October 25, 2022 at 19:57 #16201588pm
Minihaj
Win
Is different class to these runners and his new trainer has wasted no time getting him into this grade.
Won here three years ago in class five stakes off 83.
Khulu
Win without minihaj the best of the rest.*Minihaj’s jockey was so confident he even slowed down and held his horse up approaching the final furlong, before sweeping into a clear lead. Catharine chroi simply swept past him on the run in to win easily on debut….

SEE MY BABY JIVE
Win without babe alicious @ 2/1A day of chinned runners when even the write up I did on a winner in an earlier race here at Newcastle didn’t go online ( typed it out and placed bet came back on and it hadn’t posted) so no mention of the 3.75 lengths winner!!
See My Baby Jive did everything right in trying to post a winner at Newcastle as well when last here.
Ran on and in the clear only to lose out to WEE FAT MAC.
Form franked by winner.

See my baby jive stays in the notebook. Got very unsettled in the stalls and jockey had hands full calming the horse. Jumped out of stalls in rear and hood came off late as jockey struggled to stay on board. Raced from behind to get on terms and used lots of energy early. Good run in the circumstances finished fourth having led mid race. fractions Good.October 26, 2022 at 11:58 #1620298The Curragh 1.05
Very heavy going and ideal conditions for
Dromantine
Out of lope de Vega.
Comes out of the race which was taken apart by Paddington. ( selected here) He romped home by a fair distance and won’t be back until the guineas trials and might even go straight to Newmarket, and hopefully some of that gold dust will have fallen on Colin Keane’s mount.
DROMANTINE
Place three places
Will have to be good to get in front of the O’Brien runners who have regularly won this race. In her favour is a useful spin previously in a dundalk barrier trial ( 2nd there)October 26, 2022 at 13:20 #1620324Chepstow 1.25
UNE DE LA SENIERE
each way
Trainer’s Daughter rides this horse in this hands and heels contest.
Dropped below last winning mark of a year ago and has a very good chance.October 26, 2022 at 14:13 #1620329Chepstow 2.35

Beau Balko
Win
Nicholls yard flying and this newcomer bred to do well.
Deafening silence won his sole point to point and is an interesting recruit for the Skeltons…..October 26, 2022 at 14:43 #1620334Seventh runner in two days beaten close home but DEAFENING SILENCE at least stays on in third.

PRINCE IMPERIAL
Each way
Good run in the cesarawitch trial.
Didn’t cope with the heat of the main event.
Now in class three area of last win and on the right mark.
COEUR BLIMEY
Small win could also come back with a flourish after return from a long lay off.
A small field and these two not regarded as the principals here….. - AuthorPosts
