Mother India indeed did go better than expected, but hit the wall a furlong out. Was weighted directly under solitary trees and that told.
Solitary trees could not go on under the penalty and that impacted specifically on those weighted below.

See my baby jive stays in the notebook. Got very unsettled in the stalls and jockey had hands full calming the horse. Jumped out of stalls in rear and hood came off late as jockey struggled to stay on board. Raced from behind to get on terms and used lots of energy early. Good run in the circumstances finished fourth having led mid race. fractions Good.The Curragh 1.05

Out of lope de Vega.
Comes out of the race which was taken apart by Paddington. ( selected here) He romped home by a fair distance and won’t be back until the guineas trials and might even go straight to Newmarket, and hopefully some of that gold dust will have fallen on Colin Keane’s mount.
