    The Curragh
    4.35

    SOILSE
    Each way
    Real chance here.
Ran a blinder behind in form saltonstall.
Arguably a career best from out of the handicap. Occupies top weight here and jockeys ten pound claim means this horse due to go up 13lbs is well in here.
Provided no bounce in this huge field could finish two lengths clear here…..

Was well clear of the field with the exception of one runner!!! (2.75 lengths clear as predicted -save for the winner-)
    Curragh 5.10
    MORNING DEW
    Each way
Students derby this runner ran well staying on over shorter and can run on here over this trip. Has run well for Billy Lee over the trip.
Runs off career low rating so lots in favour of this horse.
In a field of hurdlers this one has a chance with a decent second last time.

    Kempton 5.55

    GLAM PUSS
    Win
    And
    Win without hickory.
Hickory has been off over 750 days last seen winning well at Yarmouth.
Must have had problems and cannot be straight forward and not sure to give off his best off such an absence on first All weather run too.
Glam puss is well bred and up to the standard needed here.

    Mark Johnston’s
    KNIGHTSWOOD
    Win
    Gets the vote.
He has competed in top company.
Reverts to trip he is unbeaten at.
Gave impression a return to further would suit.
Beat Berkshire Breeze at this trip before that runner went to ascot, a distant second to secret State.
Made all and likely to attempt similar tonight in this small field.
Also competed at Royal Ascot and not disgraced over inadequate trip beaten favourite last time.

Didn’t work out well at all for KNIGHTSWOOD.
Down the field where the winner showed improved form for simply a gelding op having wintered in Dubai. Left these shires a class 5 handicapper returns a group horse. Bigger carrots in the middle east.

    8pm
    WHERE’S TOM
    Each way
Campaigned over variety of trips and spheres.
    Jockey on four timer tonight.
    8.30
    PLEASURE GARDEN
    TRIBAL COMMANDER
    Both win
Both on or close to winning marks and both capable of pulling off major shock here.

    **
    PRINCE IMPERIAL
Broke a long run of runner ups with a good performance at Nottingham.
    GLAM PUSS
Was also a winner in the win without market when a very good runner up to hickory back from a huge lay off.
SOILSE ran well and probably right up to best when running into an improving maiden.

This runner is odds on at the moment and although it may be a SIN there is no getting away from
    FLOATING ROCK
He won’t get me to the stars at odds on to be fair.
Won this race in 2020 and has a much more positive profile than chief rival
Mr Coldstone the ex Willie Mullins runner who drops in class here.
He ran in a decent race last time under Brian Hughes on debut but made no impression and was way down the field.
He may be good enough to win here but nothing in his previous performances suggests he’s really up to it. Fair play to connections if that is their strategy, get a Mullins horse over and win a seller, but they have set some pretty low ambitions there. On all known form he really isn’t good enough.

Floating Rock on the other hand has a full house in national hunt a handful of hurdle wins nap hand of chase wins and a bumper win and has kept his hand in by running on the flat. Both top weights are thirty pounds plus clear of this small field.
    Floating Rock
    To win

A tonne of research went into the 1.30 at Stratford but on reflection I cannot back FLOATING ROCK because of the odds and will just have to satisfy myself with the outcome unless he drifts markedly. Then an unlikely price of evens will be welcomed with open arms….
The solution get all four runners on your side and simply back the winning margin.
Stratford 1.30 winning margin to be over 6lengths @ 6/4
    1.20
    WORCESTER
    🍀 Walk in clover 🍀
    Win
makes handicap and chase debut for the Skeltons and carries main hopes here.
Looks on a workable mark in this event and could take all the beating if on song.

Having solved a simple equation and getting 6/4 about a 2/7 shot a bigger challenge awaits at Worcester

    How do you like your
    HALIBUT?
    PLAIN or BATTERED?
    CLOMEL

Cannot say with certainty that halibut wins here so it’s
Winning margin over six lengths @ 6/4
    Any horse
    PLAIN or BATTERED
    Each way
Plain or battered has show plenty of ability on all starts and can get involved again here.
HALIBUT should take all the beating here but I’m going with the winning margin

Seven and a half lengths HALIBUT wins by @ 6/4 so two massive odds on shots have got the job done at 6/4 today.
PLAIN OR BATTERED did very well and although a serial third placer had a champion bumper horse and malinas glory keeping him out of his prefered place.

    ROBINSTOWN

has transferred yards from Gordon Elliott and coming with him is the excellent jockey Jordan Gainford( JCG).
On a decent mark and beat hallowed star in a maiden hurdle. Every opportunity in this company.

A very truncated day but time enough to get two short priced impossible to back as 6/4 winners by doing the winning margin.
Halibut looked to have come up half baked, luckily it looks like they’ve given a toddler the job of working out the winning distance and a five length looking win has become 7 and a half lengths.
PLAIN OR BATTERED very nearly served up a compleat fish dish, just missing out in fourth at 33s -28/1.
Meanwhile at stoney Stratford, FLOATING ROCK romped home by an estimated 20+ lengths again looked like 30 or more.
Not to be disputed though was the manner of winning of
ROBINSTOWN (the best priced winner since switching thread a few days ago) romped home under immense pressure which suggests the SIXTEEN TO ONE winner has plenty more under the tank. Won despite his last challenger saving upwards of twenty lengths journeying along the rail.
Lucky last at Chelmsford hopefully five minutes before the race. As attention turns to European football ⚽.

    1pm Newmarket

Ehraz to win by 4.0 lengths or more @ 11/10
The only way this runner can be backed given he is a 1/9 shot.
Looks to have too much for the two newcomers even giving over a stone away. Ran to seven lengths of the main body of runners at Ascot after a poor start, but seen to better effect at a high level at Royal Ascot.
Two year olds do have a good record here but this looks a hard ask for them.
    *** Small stakes***
EHRAZ would have to put it all together well to win by four lengths as it has only been done once in the last ten or so years and that was by a two year old, but this is a very small field in fact the smallest in recent memory and if good enough Ehraz may pull clear.

Results not in yet but a comfortable five or six lengths win and paid 11/8.
    Won by 6.5 lengths
A very good performance by Tiriac which bodes well for PHYSIQUE later on who was second behind Novus in the same race last week.

Can run into a place here and is very well bred.
    PHYSIQUE
    Win
ran so well in debut at Newbury last week.
He was a long way ahead of Tiriac who has just gone well in the opener. Drawn well in stall 10 and lots of cover..

    Yard going better than usual.
Winning pointer and stepped down in trip to win bumper well.
