Confirmed after the summer he,s going to Christian Williams , not surprised as Jefferson is struggling but id have thought he,d have gone to a bigger yard , surely it,ll all be about the King George again
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
July 17, 2021 at 16:59 #1551126If it’s the owner’s decision why wait so long, I would imagine the best days are behind him.
July 17, 2021 at 17:58 #1551132Since winning the Ascot Chase in 2018 Waiting Patiently has IMO run over his optimum trip twice and other trips (ranging from 2m to 3m1f) five times.
Clueless, frankly.
I know he’s a fragile horse and they have to strike when he’s sound, but the horse has been royally messed about.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"July 17, 2021 at 18:06 #1551133This type of thing must be quite a moral dilemma for some owners. As the horse will be 10 rising 11 this season it’s certainly reached that it has to be now or never.
July 17, 2021 at 18:36 #1551136Too little too late. Same thing has happened with Lalor who’s gone to Nicholls a little long in the tooth
July 17, 2021 at 20:28 #1551145I love lalor so I hope Nicholls can work his magic

July 17, 2021 at 21:44 #1551158Well hallelujah.
Will be bordering on 11 when he returns to the track though, best years wasted I’m afraid.

He came a reasonably close second in the King George though- RP comments “ran on well, nearest finish” and he was BD early on his other King George run.
Was Willie Mullins “clueless” to run Allaho over 3 miles and 2 miles last season?
July 18, 2021 at 11:21 #1551206Fair comment and no, I don’t think it was Mullins’s most astute bit of campaigning tbh.
Both trainers – apart from trotting out the “how many big-race winners have you trained?” line – might say the race programme offers limited opportunities for top-class chasers, but at least Mullins won a Ryanair with Allaho.
Btw, if Jefferson asked me how many big-race winners I had trained, my reply would be: “Only slightly fewer than you, actually, and I’ve never held a licence!”
We all see the game differently….
