Nominations for Villain of the Year 2012 on this thread.
December 11, 2012 at 23:29 #422513Controversial, but Clive Smith moving Kauto Star out of the stable of Paul Nicholls. Yes he owns the horse but its a huge let-down for everyone associated with the horse at Ditcheat
December 12, 2012 at 01:39 #422531I’d like to nominate Paul Nicholls for the way he spat his dummy out when Clive Smith decided on what he thought was best for his much loved horse.
December 12, 2012 at 08:32 #422555A late bid for this title from
Frankie Dettori
for his ‘contribution’ to the drug culture.
December 12, 2012 at 09:14 #422556Forget his name but the person who axed Derek Thompson from Channel 4 without even asking about his cancer condition.
December 12, 2012 at 13:03 #422597Frankie Dettori
for letting himself, his fanily and his fans down.

December 12, 2012 at 13:36 #422609Animal Aid + RSPCA + Daily Mail
For their poorly-researched and ignorant attacks on the Grand National and their efforts to destroy racing under the guise of ‘animal welfare’.

December 12, 2012 at 15:57 #422629The RSPCA
December 12, 2012 at 19:15 #422657Luke Nolen – the worst winning ride i’ve seen…. spoilt it all.
December 15, 2012 at 09:25 #422999Forget his name but the person who axed Derek Thompson from Channel 4 without even asking about his cancer condition.
The name’s Jamie Aitchison and I second this nomination.
December 16, 2012 at 17:28 #423215Channel 4, not only for the way they handled the axeings, but for who they got rid of………and also for who they brought in
. Poor all round.Seconded.

All three worthy "winners" TYF, excellent nominations.
If the name "RSPCA" got the vote, it might make them think an important animal loving group ("Racing") is turning against them.
Pigs might fly!
Now that really would be cruel.
Value Is EverythingDecember 17, 2012 at 00:37 #423261I too go along with
Animal Aid
and the
RSPCA
, the latter not only for horse welfare but it’s terrible reputation for monitoring the welfare of animals kept and farmed for so called ‘freedom foods’ sold in our supermarket.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...December 17, 2012 at 00:42 #423262It is not a "charity" Triptych, they were denied charity status. They’re a "limited company".

Thanks Ginger
I didn’t know that I have changed and edited my nomination slightly and included the RSPCA too.Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...December 17, 2012 at 22:23 #423340Has anyone mentioned ARC (formerly Arena/Northern) for their closure of Hereford & Folkestone?
