OUTLAW TOM is entered for what has been his long term target, the four mile handicap chase at Hexham next Thursday March 13th. He showed up encouragingly for a long way at Ayr last time, jumping quite nicely in front before tiring. The race gave out the right message and he now goes to Hexham with course, distance and likely going in his favour.

THE VILLAGE trailed in ninth at Kelso, going well enough to three out but finding little after that. He pulled going down and early on in the race and needs to settle better. He’ll probably be better once the ground dries a bit and he gets handicapped so that he’s competing in racers where he can get competitive.

The Village kept up my abysmal record as owner on course. The best I’ve done in seven attempts is sixth place, but the good news is that I can’t make it to Hexham next week!
