Was hoping someone would start this thread Mike, cheers.

Banbridge for me. Really wanted to bet him for National Hunt Chase, and I would have if he ran yesterday, but his target today, suggests that won’t be happening.

I actually think the connection’s might just favour a tilt at The Arkle if things go well today, but happy to cover him later for that

    Banbridge 20’s

Banbridge looked an absolute tank there wonder if they’ll opt for the Arkle

Has he enough toe for a arkle? , he,s a cracking jumper but if just worry something would tap him for speed

To be fair it looked like he didn’t really have an extra gear and was almost going flat out the whole way so you could be right on that, but also looked a touch as though he was tiring at the line. Maybe if he switches off more over a trip like the Turners he’d have more saved in the locker for the hill at the finish.

He might well go where Sir Gerrard and Jonbon don’t go

I think it was good training by O’Brien today to put him in here. It was likely to be a fairly soft race. But I don’t think it means he thinks 2 miles is the horse’s best distance. As HDLG says, it is highly likely he would be vulnerable to something with a turn of foot.

I genuinely do think 2m 4f suits him better. He won well today but I thought he was even better at Gowran.

One thing for sure where ever he goes he’ll test the jumping of the competition

And Three Stripe Life makes a winning debut over fences as well!

He was obviously helped by Grand Jury’s fall at the second last, although I think he probably would have won anyway.

I was not totally convinced by his jumping but it was a promising enough start in what looked like a stereotypical Irish novice chase with plenty clearly with no interest in finishing too close to an odds on favourite.

O’Brien said “I think we can be flexible with the trip and take it on a race by race basis.”

It sounds like he is going to run over Christmas: either 2 miles at Leopardstown or 2m 4f at Limerick.

I would not be surprised if they go for the 2 mile option because it can get very soft at Limerick and it seems like he needs decent ground.

LOL love a good Irish try-ers at the front race, the top of the market setting the gallop with all those 10/1 and bigger about 20 lengths off the leaders having their own race…..Nothing to see here!!!

Pleasantly surprised to see Three Stripe Life as short as 4/1 with some bookmakers given that he had nothing to beat after the second favourite fell.
