Current market joint favs at least 5horses at 16/1 so hard to say who current fave should be.But i like OUTSPOKEN 20/1 Ran well on hurdle debut for O’Brein hated the ground wants faster and after he irons out mistakes in jumping i think he be a very good horse.
December 22, 2015 at 11:31 #1226766Backed Outspoken on debut and thought was running well prior to the hiccup at the last. Have backed the Skelton horse that won at the Hennessy meeting. Couldn’t have been any more impressive imo.
December 22, 2015 at 18:07 #1226798Take Davy Russell’s advice lads and catch up on Coronation Street while this race is on
December 22, 2015 at 18:32 #1226800Im on footpad at 25/1
But im also on adrien du pont at 25/1 :(
That’s the chance you take when your backing horses on French form especially juveniles.
Ut i must say I’m looking forward to seeing favorito bucks on the 27th of december,
On his Listed win at auteuil he could be something special. and at 33/1 he might be worth a punt.December 22, 2015 at 22:30 #1226820It’s becoming something of a cliche now, but if Rashann was in the yard of W Mullins he’d be half the 16s currently available and is superb value imo
December 22, 2015 at 22:59 #1226824Agreed steeple chasing but I would say I’d rather take the likely 10s after leopardstown if he managed to beat footpad, jers girl and possibly something from aiden obrien, looks a good test for all.
December 23, 2015 at 00:37 #1226839Just watched all rashaans runs and he looks good, he finds plenty for pressure of the bridle, through a form line of Lagastovegas I’d be of the opinion that footpad has the beating of him, footpad was on the bridle throughout and wasn’t asked for much at all from ruby, finishing 6 lengths clear. rashaan beat him around the same distance and was impressive, but he was hard driven and off the bridle a fair way out from home. It will be very interesting to see what footpad finds of the bridle at leopardstown, assuming that ruby needs to ask him the question.
December 27, 2015 at 23:04 #1227449Surprisingly fair market this year with nothing being hyped into single figures.
The McManus/O’Brien horse looked very good today and no surprise at all if he improves for a quicker surface. He was even allowed to race close to the pace. Presumably, one more run and the Triumph but you can never be totally sure when McManus is involved.
January 10, 2016 at 10:40 #1229143I’ve heard Ivanovich Gorbatov will be heading for the Supreme and not the triumph, to take on Min et al; which means Yanworth will be going for the 2.5m novice. Speaking of Mr Kings horses, I’ve had a rare A.P bet on Who Dares Wins in the Triumph following its impressive win at Doncaster. It showed any amount of improvement from its first start at Ludlow and although the ground was pretty deep at Doncaster I don’t believe it absolutely needs this type of surface; it won on good to firm on the flat.
A good jockey doesn't need orders and a bad jockey couldn't carry them out; so it's best not to give them any.
January 10, 2016 at 11:31 #1229151Don’t think Ivanovich qualifies for the supreme, pretty sure it’s for horses 4 and over so at 3 Ivanovich is too young

He’s actually 4. You have to be to contest the Triumph.
January 13, 2016 at 15:28 #1229446IG not quoted for supreme on Oddschecker so asked B365 for a quote; only offered 10/1 which seems a bit mean to me. Probably best to wait until the day, assuming Min remains a short priced fav.

January 22, 2016 at 21:27 #1230370Lots of good judges/opinions in this forum.
Has anyone got any views on Sceaux Royal?
January 29, 2016 at 04:09 #1231064Way too early to be looking at this race in-depth for my liking, but I thought Wolfcatcher looked superb at MRasen and I love his King’s Best-Sadler’s Wells nick. Keep putting a couple of quid on every week. Not seen since but was entered in the Chepstow 3yo G1. I’d imagine they’re just waiting for better ground.
If I had enough money to consider laying 3/1 favourites weeks/months before the event, I’d happily lay Ivanovich G right now. His price represents nothing like his true chance.
February 6, 2016 at 13:08 #1232556Well lads you might aswell pick the horse with your favourite name for this race after today’s events

What a pity he wasn’t allowed to race close to the pace again. An absolutely dreadful effort in a very ordinary season for Geraghty. I wouldn’t judge the horse too harshly on that performance.

Horses are like The Queen, they have two birthdays. The Offical Birthday for all horses is the 1st of January.
For example Air Force Blue is now officially 3 but he won’t biologically be 3 until the 2nd of May, two days after he wins the 2000 Guineas.

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
