January 3, 2014 at 21:54 #463766Lovely stuff, VTC. Time has flown by !
What about injuries / fatalities ? I know there were a couple of occasions last season where we agreed that posters could change their selection.
Personally think it should be allowed once for each poster. Pricewise has often selected a second horse closer to the day if his first selection is certain to miss the festival.

January 4, 2014 at 00:25 #463802On the ball as always Bobby

I’ve stated elsewhere on here that I’m finding it hard to identify the value in this race but it could be worth taking a chance on Annie Power turning up with Stan James going 14/1.
My reasoning is that Rich Ricci is very much a man who would love a crack at the big prize, in this case the Champion Hurdle. Mullins has stated that they will avoid Hurricane Fly for as long as the can, which insinuates that she’d be running in the big two mile hurdles if he wasn’t around.
Also, Ruby said in the post race interview on New Year’s Day that she has got some experience of the course, even though it was the New Course. That would make you think the Champion Hurdle is her aim.
Of course, it’s not as straightforward as that with Hurricane Fly and Un De Sceaux in the yard but at the prices she’s my selection.
Champion Hurdle – ANNIE POWER 2 pts win @ 14/1 (Stan James)
January 4, 2014 at 06:04 #463820Looking for a big priced outsider for an ew bet but can’t see past any of the favourites so will stick with THE NEW ONE (2pts win 7-2 Sportingbet).

January 5, 2014 at 21:27 #464029New on here and it’s The New One for me. 2pts win @ 7/2 sportingbet.
It’s looking like the race of the festival and if Annie Power turns up (I think the owner would love a shot at it) one of the best Champion Hurdles in a long time.January 5, 2014 at 21:32 #464030New on here and it’s The New One for me 2pts win @ 7/2 sportingbet.
