    And a merry happy to you,Gamble :)

I don’t think Jeremy or the man on grass can catch the two frontrunners.

Neck and neck-and a late vote may well decide

ps- I’ve yet to vote

I did catch the vote at 1158
    but was unable to post

    TAPK although considered lizard
I have ventured into your area
    with ….hmmm shhh

    Congratulations on your late rally
it has been an absorbing contest
    I think Glenn and Drone
    and Drone and Glenn
    are very fitting winners.

The list is not before me
what is the procedure with a tie ?
I think there may have been one before for this comp.

    There is some awkward precedent.
Ian Davies and Kotijket tied on 22 apiece
    in Needleman.

    Kotijket secured another two votes
over a period of two weeks
and privately awarded himself the prize.
He rather annoyingly needled it

So pleased that Drone made a last minute dash for the winning post resulting in a photo finish; there’s a lot of good karma on this site..but a great deal of it comes from him. The Green Man of TRF.

Thanks to all for the nominations, votes and kind words

    Glenn got my vote :)

Not really one for awards and gongs, but it’s appreciated nevertheless

    I just enjoy writing, really

Currently sunning myself on the Devon Riviera: cold feet and hot cocoa

    Seasonable greetings all

Yeah,it’s really sunny down here.No icy roads and cars being stuck in jams on the A38 for two hours or anything like that.

Merry happy to you and yours.

    Certainly a spellbinder
    with magic in it.
I found it one of the most
    fascinating races and at one
point Drone pulled three clear 9 to 6
only for Glenn to hit the gas.

    Hopper recommended Drone last year
and Drone then went on to secure one vote.
    After last years I remember
thinking Drone would win this year.
one has to say well Done.

As for Glenn, it is some
achievement as he is the first purist
    to win it. Past winner
    Cormack is almost purist
    but occasionally slips slippers on
and had the help of all those competitions
    he so competently organized.
All other winners were part lizards
    – that seems to be the necessary profile
so Glenn certainly bucked the trend.

    Both men, Drone and Glenn
    win titles fair and square.

    There are some observations
    and niggling questions.

Who booted Drone to the line ?
( I hazard it was Tor Mentor )
4 votes to come on 74
    – Drone, Glenn, Marble, Marble
    ( pretty obvious he wouldn’t
have voted for Glenn who smelled
clone on him and Tor has the confidence
to decide the competition on a late vote

    Cormack like Daylight before him
    voted for Bob Rolf

    If Drone’s vote for Glenn
    was the 11th or 12th
was he on the magic mushrooms
or should he be the next Pope ?

    How come marble suddenly
rolled home in the dying seconds
    with two strong hits ?
    One was not surprising
but two was very surprising !

Was there whiff of clone ?
It all seemed above board to me.

Yes,Gamble,my late vote was for Drone.Nothing against Glennnnn, but Drone is more of an all-rounder.Anyway,my vote would have gone to AP.But he,bizarrely, didn’t make it to the noms.

I see that Glennnnn hasn’t had the decency to say a few words in this thread.Something that Drone managed to do,even from the frozen wastelands of his holiday shack.

I predict that Glennnn will find himself in the wastelands next year…and young Marble will still be missing, presumed dead in the water.

Give us a chance Chief. It is christmas.

Thank you to the 12 clones of christmas that voted for me. It’s good to see I haven’t lost my vote rigging touch since the days of propelling the Green Giant into the netprophet runners up spot – how soon some people forget.

    Congratulations to Drone.
