4 more races gone and a double for A P O’Brien at the Curragh which brings him ever closer to that World Record of 25 Group 1s held by Bob Baffert (I think)
Some good scoring last weekend, none more so than paulostermeyer who scored 18.67pts over the 4 races, having selected African Rose and Septimus win only as well as Conduit and Shaweel each-way to be the only entrant to score positively on all 4 races. We’ll all be going to Laytown next year for a break if this is the expected results!
Gaz’s Way De Solzen, WelshWizard1973, & Michael Walsh all scored well thanks to African Rose, Septimus, & Mastercraftsman while special mentions should go to non vintage who selected New Zealand in the Irish Leger (2nd @ 40/1) and bob rolf who selected Red Moloney in the same race (3rd @ 25/1)

Thanks David and very well done to those who made money over the weekend.
I think a top ten placing is all I can manage this time but I’ve set myself a goal of beating UNNAMED FAVOURITE.
My target is just to get a positive score – I think, in all honesty, my performance last weekend was more luck than judgement.
To be honest I only went for Shaweel because I am fed up with O’Brien monopolising all the Group Ones, so I went for the Johnson horse out of pique – not the best punting strategy.
I am still waiting for the "real" competition to start with the Order Of Merit
2 more races down and paulostermeyer is still banging in the winners with both Rainbow View and Ravens Pass doing the trick for him last weekend. He tops the scoring this week on 7.14 pts and has a 25.81pt profit over the last 6 races! Unfortunately (for him anyway) he also has a 22.25 pt loss over the previous 36 but you can’t have it every way. If he can bring that sort of form into the upcoming bumper Group 1 weekend who’d bet against him landing the big one?

David – don’t worry I would bet against myself as well – the trouble is I think that is agaist BHA regulations and I may end up getting warned off.

Phew! – I know what you were all thinking – “these scores won’t be up til Christmas” but it’s amazing what you can accomplish when your boss is out sick!
What a weekend’s racing and what a weekend’s tipping from ME who selected 8 losers from 9 selections (Paco Boy was the exeption). In fact the Cheveley Park was my second best race cos I didn’t pick anything!
At the business end however is aaronizneez who was back with a bang after a very quiet middle summer to score 15.80pts profit over the 10 races thanks in the main to Halfway To Heaven and Naaqoos but topped up with Paco Boy and Incanto Dream (each-way)
2nd place went to non vintage who scored 12.85 pts after an excellent Friday and Saturday with Aspen Darling (each-way), Bushranger, Natagora (each way), & Bannaby (each-way).
4 other entrants also scored positively over the 3 days, namely Pat123 (3.00pts), nefertiti (2.15 pts), WelshWizard1973 (0.75 pts), & mickeddy (0.15 pts) so well done to all of you.

Hi David – I know it’s incidental but is my score right for last weekend? Thought I did less badly than -10?
Bloody Typical – I try to get the results up quicker than usual and the RP goes with the Pari-Mutuel returns before reverting to Industry SP so anybody who backed a winner on the Sunday was given the wrong scores
