For those who saw the race I must say that he got up fine and has not got a cut on him, it looked worse as he had his reins caught up in his legs and couldn’t get up, also Campbell is fine as well.
Well, what can I say, Tom jumped super from the front and really looked like he was going to run his usual sound race and get us in the first four again, what happened at the 2nd last fence was so unfair on him and Campbell as they both didn’t deserve that after a good effort. Campbell reported that his jumping was great and he even said the way Tom plugs on he may have challenged again for 3rd.
These are all ifs and buts, but I have to admit for 90% of the race I was delighted, the feeling when he fell was something I can’t describe, but there was nothing better than seeing Campbell and Tom walking back up the track towards us.
We will look to have him out in the next 3-4 weeks
