…and there was me thinking he’d just have a two-bedroom flat in Exning.

Knew Sheikh Mo owned quite a bit. My cousin once lived on Lord Derby’s land at Newmarket, adjacent to Sheikh Mo’s land… And my father and I were once asked to quote for fitting custom made carpets at Sheikh Mo’s Surrey house near Sunningdale. We were too busy so didn’t have the time.

Would you have been tempted to sew a kipper in to the underlay GT?

    LOL
Long time ago and in those times I quite liked Sheikh Mo, TTC.
Owner of some of my favourite racehorses.
Rarely had the opportunity of working with such top quality unique custom made carpet.
Gutted when we couldn’t do the job.

She looks slightly stirred and shaken – who knows what secrets those eyes hold in them. Let’s hope Odette can break the sorcerer’s spell and she remains a happy swan in a large lake forever.

Two of the group look to be happy.

The look on the girls face would be twitching my safeguarding radar.

If knowing I could not walk out of the mall a free person, I wouldn’t feel happy either.

    Looking at the decective’s notebook….

1 This is the biggest shopping mall in the world with 50 million visitors a year.

No-one in the picture apart from the three.

2 The coffee cups appear empty ( could this be because the mall is closed for the night ?)

    3. One of the masks on the table is the wrong way up – never put the mask down this way, it can pick up infection from the surface. Does this lack of care indicate a staged photograph ?

Well it is quite obvious from the picture she is not joining in the fun with the other two. Having said that the poor young woman has been through quite a lot of late. Maybe her half smile is coded to mean something, like; ‘ I have to play the game but I will only go so far.’ Maybe she was told not to overdo the smile ( too obviously staged ) Another thing people tend to drink coffee at slightly different rates. Also when I sit down at a table I will order a cup rather than a takeaway beaker.

It was about 2.20pm about the time of your comment Istabraq ( which I hadn’t read) I drove past a school and saw two groups of children assembled on a green with attendant teachers. I said to my passenger – oh they are conditioning them – half are receiving psychiatric treatment and the other half are waiting to be lobotomised. Uncanny !

Also would not the beakers have coffee stains inside them – they look like virgin beakers – untouched !

From that article: “It may be that the three Instagram posts are part of a gradual process that will lead to Latifa’s full release from detention, or alternatively a PR stunt designed to convince the public her freedom has been at least partially restored.”

I’d go with PR stunt myself. Doesn’t look like she’s all that happy to be out and seeing her friends, suggests it is not as spontaneous and carefree a meeting as the captions would like to suggest. And a good point above about lack of crowds at the mall. You don’t have to be a genius to work out who could get them to keep the lights on for a few minutes longer after locking up.

I will join the stars in siding with the set up, however things are looking better – I have actually spotted some coffee in a cup.

The property company that owns the biggest shopping mall by area in the world is worth just over a trillion pounds with a small yearly income of seven billion – just 0.7%. It was 75% Government owned and they floated the other 25%. Not sure if it is now a totally share owned company. Where is Wit when you need him ?
The company owner has a net worth of 80 million I read, but importantly he is or was a politician.

Nafisa is possibly trapped in this sticky web of conjoined money and influence and the sad reality to me is, I doubt she will ever get out. Freedom and health has a greater value to her than all the wealth that Ali Baba and his forty security men can trouser or robe between them.

As for the small profit margin of 0.7% – maybe they put some of the rest under the magic carpet !

    * I have thought about it and yes I suppose the company gains the rest of its profit from rising asset values – which will account for a few percent a year and more in favourable times. Asset values can decrease but property seems to generally hold its own certainly over large time periods. Arabs are very familial.

I suppose 0.7% (7 billion) seems plausible if it is mainly made up of ground rents !

    Another photo has emerged https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-57556558.

This all continues to seem rather strange, though it sounds a little more positive that Latifa has been in contact with those campaigning for her freedom.
