Seems that he has a back problem, not sure whether or not that has been the problem for a while or whether it is something that has been discovered since Aintree.

The article states that he has disappointed since Aintree, however, i would be more inclined to say he has disappointed since his run in the Rowland Merwick, which i may add, was an impressive effort in my opinion.
Have always thought he is a horse with a lot of ability but something isn’t right, and that maybe he does have a slight problem which is stopping him from being even better.
Also states that On Raglan Road will be out for 12 months, which is sad news.
April 21, 2009 at 00:24 #222829Hasn’t John Francome always said that he looked as if something was hurting him? [mind you, he says that about a lot of horses]. I would have thought that most horses had their backs checked regularly; Dessie was always having his back put right, they seemed to think that was one of the reasons why he didn’t really go left handed, and, even though he would probably not have been entered for the National they said the Canal Turn would have put his back out, so it was out of the question.
April 24, 2009 at 03:10 #223307I haven’t read the article, but a s a ‘horse person’ TB has given every sign that he has a problem all season, and that class alone has got him to where he has finished in races 08/09. Might not be a simple problem to sort out but he certainly hasn’t looked anywhere near right in his runs, don’t know about the impression he gives at home.
