September 29, 2010 at 22:47 #320114I’ve out of commission for a while, punting-wise, THM, but still a keen follower of you blokes. Interesting about the win rate when you and His Majesty concur in your selections.

Grimes….are you mixing me up with TAPK or has he abdicated and passed his crown over with me when I wasn’t looking?
He’ll need to if Workforce flops on Sunday!October 6, 2010 at 21:24 #321239No, I’m not mixing you up with HM. Don’t you have an inside track on the Irish scene?

He’ll need to if Workforce flops on Sunday! How can anybody confuse me with anyone else! I wear a big gold Crown with lots of shiny gems stuck on it ffs!
October 10, 2010 at 14:29 #321690The Munster National is a tough race to find a winner in! Dancing Tornado undoubtedly has the best chance of success but 3/1 in a race like this no thanks!
Looking at some of the longer priced horses, Fisher Bridge appeals most. He’s rated just 2lb higher over fences than hurdles, and had smart form behind the likes of Catch Me as a novice.
He’s been in good form over the summer in Flat handicaps. He ran a stinker last time but hopefully he’s over whatever was ailing him that day. This is first attempt over 3 miles so stamina must be a worry but at 28/1 he’s worth a punt.
I’ll probably be back with a bet closer to the off.
October 10, 2010 at 15:03 #321696€5 win Fisher Bridge @ 20/1 (only have PP a/c
)
€5 win The Last Derby+ €231.25
October 10, 2010 at 23:24 #321777Well done, again, THM!
October 13, 2010 at 10:13 #322151No need for the congrats Grimes, Fisher Bridge beaten by a short head
Atleast it feels like I picked out the horse who imo should have won snugly.Cracking card today, with Voler La Vedette taking centre stage. 11/8
I’ll have some of that.First Lieutenant should win easily but @ 1/2 on ground probably on the quick side, not for me. You never know what can happen in these maiden hurdles. Be very surprised if he’s beaten though.
Princess Gaia in the last, a sister of Voler’s, is great value at 9/1. She’s one of Colm Murphy’s nicest prospects and wouldn’t surprise at all if she won this with something in hand.
I’ll be back later with my bets
October 13, 2010 at 13:04 #322184€20 e/w Princess Gaia @ 10/1
€10 e/w DBL Princess Gaia @ 10/1 Voler La Vedette @ 5/4

October 14, 2010 at 13:39 #322360Gutted by Princess Gaia’s run, she was pummeled into 9/2 from 10s aswell!

€36.35 back from the double of Loosen My Load and Luska Lad.
Loss of €63.65 on day though apart from the yankee which I’ve yet to collect…. + €167.70.Minus the €30 I had on the Nicholls trio today = + €137.70 (I’ll deduct the flat bets from my flat thread)
Minus 3/5 of the Canadian (€7.80) = + €129.90.
Got €20 back from Aiteenthirtythree
+ €149.90
October 17, 2010 at 13:32 #322940Dynamic Approach has a great chance in the bumper at Navan today. The horse he beat the last day, Under The Arch, is no mug, and Dnamic Approach has improved a tonne since then. Bale O’Shea must have a good chance too in the handicap hurdle. He’s up 12lbs on his win here last year, but he won comfortably that day and seems to have improved since. €10 e/w on both at 4/1 and 9/2 respectively. €5 e/w dbl also
+ €99.90
