Thanks Imperial, although there was more than a pinch of good fortune about that one!
Good luck to both of us in the next
April 26, 2011 at 16:38 #352268Last Instalment a bit disappointing there. Looked the winner turning in but surprisingly the tank emptied fairly quickly after the last.
Twinlight returns €50, nothing won, nothing lost today.

May 6, 2011 at 22:57 #354175Two horses stand out on tomorrow’s Punchestown card. I normally try and stay away from what I’d often call ‘dirty big handicaps’, but beautiful Sound and Trucker’s Delight both look like decent betting propositions.
Beautiful Sound ran well at Cheltenham and did well to finish third from an unpromising position. A reproduction of that run would make the 4/1 available an each way bet to nothing.
the handicap hurdle which follows sees Shark Hanlon’s Trucker’s Delight take the stage. The horse has been readied excellently for big festival wins before and hopefully Shark has worked the oracle again. At 25/1 it’s worth the risk. He could hack up.
May 7, 2011 at 11:19 #354263Just home from the bookies so delighted to see the money for Westmeath as I’ve had €10 e/w at 12/1. Boyles were going 14s when I left home so was dissapointed when I got there, but he’s now 9/1 with that firm.
Also had €10 win Truckers Delight @ 25/1, and €10 place @ 13/2, with PP.
Beautiful Sound €10 e/w @ 3/1
€10 e/w Six Stone Ned @ 8/1 in the bumper too.

€10 place Truckers Delight @ 13/2…placed, returns €75Final Balance for the jumps season:

Have to say I’m absolutely delighted with this, far better than i ever expected, considering that the €600 or so i was up on last year’s flat season (see ‘Straight From…’ in the notebook section) was the best I had ever done on a single season. No doubt I’ve learned a lot from others on this site, which is a mine of information.
May 7, 2011 at 19:20 #354335Terrific profit, will you be putting any selections up for tomorrows jump meetings or are you just starting a new thread for the flat season?
Looking forward to seeing your flat selections because I’m struggle to be consistent with flat runners at the moment probably because the season has just started again.
May 7, 2011 at 19:24 #354337Well done Tommy on an excellent season……

Unlucky with Beautiful Sound today but at least you had the initiative to go each/way, unlike myself…
