5.00 Ringsider
March 18, 2005 at 10:14 #56572How about Chimali in the 2.25?
Trained by JR Boyle
The list says JR Boyle 4yo+ H/cps
This race is a 3y0+ hcp but Chimali at 4yo is the youngest.
would this qualify?
March 18, 2005 at 15:39 #56573Not sure on this, Garvee.
I think the list means 4yo+ races as 3yo+ races would show a different profit/ loss.
We’ll need phunter or seagull to put us right.

March 18, 2005 at 21:22 #56575Des,
I wasn’t sure, so erred on the side of caution-Just as well!!
Saturday.
I agree with the ones you’ve put up, but I’ve got the following as well:-
Lingfield
3.00 Francis Cadell-trained by David Loder
Loder is on the list as 3yo AND older horses-3.00 is a 3yo race
5.35 Dance on the Top
Admiral Compton
both trained by JR Boyle-list says 4yo+ h/cps
5.35 is a 4yo+ hcp.
March 18, 2005 at 22:26 #56576Thanks Garvee, I missed the 2 in the 5.35. It’s good that someone else checks them ‘cos it’s easy to miss things.
With regard the 3.00 I think we’re back to yesterdays discussion because the original rules say 3yo+ which I think is different to 3yo races. I’m not sure and need some guidence again.
Thanks again for checking me,
Des
March 18, 2005 at 22:56 #56577No probs mate
I can’t do them everyday, but will endeavour to help as time (and Mrs. Garvee:biggrin: ) permits.
Checking any sort of list day in day out is enough to boggle anyone’s head, so good on you for putting them up each day.
PS I couldn’t find any at Wolves either.
March 19, 2005 at 10:04 #56578loder at ling aw should be 3 year old and older races but exclude 3 year old only races.

March 21, 2005 at 11:07 #56581Agree all except Canadian Danehill and Eternally
March 21, 2005 at 18:47 #56582RMH Cowell says 3 year old and older horses and Canadian Danehill and Eternally are 3yo so I think they are OK.

March 21, 2005 at 18:48 #56583No winners at Southwell today.
lsp + 39.87
March 21, 2005 at 18:49 #56584Nothing at Southwell tomorrow
March 22, 2005 at 10:56 #56585Back on Canadian Danehill and Eternally, Des. This race is restricted to 3yo only. It would require the presence of older horses to fulfil Seagull’s description for the Cowell horses. Just my view of things.
As far as I can see :-
3yo only – quite simple to understand.
3yo and Older – the presence of older horses is required, but not necessarily the presence of 3yo (as in the case of races restricted to 4yoPlus.)
What do you think?
March 22, 2005 at 12:55 #56586I suppose it is how you view the original criteria.
"3yo and older horses only"
I take it that it means any horses of 3yo and older (i.e. not 2 yo) in any race, although I can see your thinking.
Seagull did say the other day,
"loder at ling aw should be 3 year old and older races but exclude 3 year old only races. " and the original criteria was "3yo+ horses only" so I reckon 3yo and older horses is different to 3yo+.
We need Seagull again !
Cheers
