Cheers pal… I just want to see Chang Bingyu qualify, I’ll hedge my bets if he gets to the final…
I thought Selby would have won last night, he’d been in decent recent form. I thought about having a bet on Selby but the odds of 2/7 were far too short. Guodong is probably one of the under rated Chinese player judging by the odds last night.
I’ve never liked Murphy. He’s capable obviously but seems super hyped all the timeGaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
January 14, 2026 at 21:49 #1750503Just thinking this could have been the 8th 6-2 and Robertson misses the easiest black ever. Mind you Wakelin missed easish one also so this is still on. Wonder what odds you could have got for all first round scores to be the same?
January 14, 2026 at 22:46 #1750506I had a look after the seventh one came in earlier and Robertson was 5/1 to win 6-2 which is probably about as short as that scoreline gets. Some of the winners would have been outsiders so considerably longer than that.
Absolutely extraordinary set of results.
January 17, 2026 at 18:05 #1750843That Higgins fella, amazing to see. Two stunning comebacks, I hope he has a nice cup of horlicks tonight and refreshes for tomorrow. Well played to the ”old Man”.
January 17, 2026 at 22:18 #1750888Friday night
I watched Robertson go 3-0 down… changed channel.
put it back on and Robertson was 5-4 up
watched Wilson win the next 2 framesI’m hoping Wu Yize wins this
I can’t watch a Higgins v Wilson final …

January 17, 2026 at 23:27 #1750896So it looks like Racing in afternoon and Call the midwife in the evening for Nathan.
February 4, 2026 at 10:11 #1753482Sad to hear John Virgo has died. His “where’s the cue ball going” routine may have worn thin but I met him a few times on racecourses and he always had time for people.
He was a good player when he was younger. I think he won the UK Championship just before the Steve Davis era.
RIP JV.
February 4, 2026 at 13:13 #1753494Goodnight, JV.
My first memories of him are from Big Break in the 90s.
As you say his commentary routines were perhaps over the top at times but I mellowed on him over the last few years, it’s just who he was and I’ll miss his presence.
By all accounts a nice bloke who would happily take the time to chat which is always nice to hear about someone in the public eye.
February 4, 2026 at 18:18 #1753518I didn’t mind the “Where’s the Cue Ball going” but his shouting over the top excitement whenever O’Sullivan was at the table did get on my nerves.. other than that he was good at it, Ken Doherty has taken up that mantle of unnecessary shouting…
John was brilliant on Big Break and a perfect foil for Jim.RIP JV

February 4, 2026 at 19:28 #1753523Apparently JV didn’t know whether to have a burial or cremation.
Where’s the coffin going?
RIP JV.

February 24, 2026 at 12:47 #1756083Chang Bingyu gave Shaun Murphy a masterclass in the Welsh Open today
beat him 4-0 with 4 centuries

February 24, 2026 at 17:24 #1756101Is your betting slip for the Worlds in the Nathan safety deposit box?
February 24, 2026 at 20:22 #1756138I don’t think he’ll win it this year, he needs to qualify and is nice a nice lad, I think you need a heart of stone to win the World’s. Xintong won it with class and Chang isn’t a million miles away from him.
But yes its in a safe place online unless someone hacks my account…
