Why do you dislike Polanski, @moehat? Have you watched his YouTube series? You might learn more about him if you do.
Ask yourself one question: would you rather live in the kind of society espoused by Zack Polanski or one where Nigel Farage sets the tone?
Polanski lets be honest is a nut job and i see some of his Muslim friends in the Greens have turned on him for his antics on stage at weekend
I really cannot see what people see in him on the political stage but then people cant see what others see in my mate Nige. To me and i will be honest have not followed them alot over the years the Greens have lost their way, again imo and many (Gladders) will disagreedid you see him on stage? telling women by the power of thought their breasts would enlarge, not that you agree letting crack heroine be legal is a no no in my book. Again you probably will disagree taking away our nuclear deterent, not that i trust many MP’s (even my mate Nige) the bloke is a bluffer and a wrong un, but that applies to many but he is right at the top

I’m not a details person when it comes to politics; tend to just go by gut feelings. And I don’t like or trust Polanski. A friend of mine who I talk politics with most days feels the same.Reminds me of the sort of people that are in PETA. Or Owen Jones. I keep having internet arguments with anti greyhound racing people on the internet about the fact that the breed will be endangered if racing is banned.I agree that given a choice of Polanski or Farage I would choose the former. Don’t think I could live in this country if Reform were in government.
It is not a debate about individuals, although I believe Farage is devious. It is about bodies of people. REFORM are dangerous and racist, while all the Greens want to do is save the planet.
Ban greyhound racing and the breed would indeed die out.
They all keep telling me that people will still want pet greyhounds. The woman who bred my whippet has one greyhound, an elderly stud dog who will not be replaced. Show greyhounds are on the endangered list. Whippet puppies are a nightmare for the first year or so; I can’t imagine having something as bonkers but five times bigger. The rescues would be full of them if people bought the puppies as pets. I guess there will still be adult Spanish hunting greyhounds up for rehoming but they won’t be as well bred conformation and health wise as racing greyhounds. It’ll be interesting to hear people’s views when we go on our annual greyhound walk in May because several of the people do run rescues.
Are people seriously putting the future of greyhounds ahead of the country being run by a fascist who thought that Liz Truss’s budget was brilliant and aspires to be best mates with Putin and Trump?
I didn’t say that. I just pointed out that I think the Greens are now a party that want to do sweeping changes without thinking through if they’re possible or what the consequences are. They want to renationalise everything. Labour are renationalising the railways by not renewing contracts when they come up for renewal. Rory Stewart said that the country couldn’t afford to renationalise water.
Nobody hates Farage more than I do. I have to turn the tv off when he’s on. Everything about him turns my stomach, along with those in his party. I’m terrified that the Green vote will take votes away from Labour and let Reform in. I honestly can’t believe where we are politics wise with Farage and Trump.
This incarnation of the Labour Party is closer to the Tories than to its working class roots.
Anyone with any remaining semblance of leftwing integrity has to vote Green at the next general election.
Unless you want the frog-faced fascist in Number 10, of course.
If Polanski and the Greens want to be taken seriously they would be wise to disassociate themselves from the various looney-tunes that were in evidence at last weekend’s anti-far right march, such as those waving Iranian flags, neo anti-zionists and peculiar non-binary types clothed in little more than stockings, suspenders and camisoles.
Such folk should of course be free to behave as they wish and demonstrate wherever and whenever they like; but a political party that wants to appeal to a large number of the boring old mainstream general public and win their votes at a general election doesn’t do themselves any favours by sharing platforms with them.
