Many thanks to Des, Jac, EL and Steve R and everyone else who has kept the competition afloat.. your hard work is very much appreciated by all…. THANKS.
To Hotfuss excellent tipping and you deserved to dead heat.
A little about me….. I am 56 and used to own horses 20 years ago with my biggest winner at Royal Ascot [in partnership with 3 others] . 9 years ago i suffered a triple stroke so i get around with difficulty. Luckily, living in MIDDLEHAM i get taken to Catterick and Ripon where i can walk about for short periods.I fancied Nep. Collonges on saturday and backed him .. so it was not a stab in the dark. Please continue to support this compy and like me you could win the ‘fantastic prize’. You are all invited to my penthouse for canapee’s and a cheeky gin and tonic….. Back to reality and thanks
THANKS GUYS
I DONT MIND TELLING ANYONE ABOUT MY HORSES AND LIFE…. It has been a slightly unconventional journey so far from being adopted in Eire to housing Hammond and Jamie Osborne when they wer young jockeys to owning a Royal ascot winnerApril 16, 2012 at 19:50 #401092david ,

April 16, 2012 at 22:17 #401125Well Done to you David a very well timed run in the final furlong, I know how sunnyhill Boy feels!
I had just started my extension on my virtual trophy cabinet too
Big thanks to Des,Jac & El, not forgetting Steve McRoo for running things so seemlessly.

April 16, 2012 at 22:45 #401128Hey David you are a dark horse waiting in the wings for the last couple of weeks to make your flying finish and taking Steve by surprise..very very well done you certainly know your horses.
Steve I really thought it was going to be a ‘cake walk’ for you this Saturday and you did nap the 4th horse home so it was a close call in the end and with both yourself and Mick scoring Zero David was able to swoop. The other fast mover up the leaderboard was Bob Rolf who managed to steal 4th position with a fantastic 44 points and Jonova also napped Neptune Collonges but had a lot of ground to make up this time.
I expect Des has handed over the keys to the Penthouse now David and you are probably just finishing the virtual bubbly, but we’ll all be up later for the ‘cheeky’ gin and tonic (or two) to celebrate your great win.
Once again well done David you are a great competitor and carry on enjoying and supporting the compy. One day you can tell us some more about your horses and your interesting life.
Look forward to seeing you at the beginning of the Flat Compy on Saturday and with some new players it’s going to be an interesting run to the finally on Champions Day at Ascot in October…
and finally a big thank you to El, Steve and Des without whom this compy would never have existed and brought all us ‘compy mad’ friends together…Jac

April 17, 2012 at 09:36 #401170Well done David, you made relentless progress the last 7 weeks. With my virtual betting 7 furlongs out you where 66/1,the fav was JamieD@6/4Fav,but was pulled up about 4 out, hope he comes back for the Flat compy. Anyway well played David, with napping the GN winner you deserved it,let’s see if you can do the double, good luck. Thanks to Dess,Trip,El,Jamook and all who organised the compy. It cost me a pretty penny with Jason beating me with 4 1/2 pts but revenge will be sweet lol. Looking forward to new compy, cheers again lads and lassies.
