I did think your suit was a bit outdated Drone………..
I’ve got the day off on August 20th so if Toronado loses by 5+ lengths or so in the Sussex he may be given another crack at the International. Is Australia going to be there? I’ll check out the train times and prices at some stage and let you know, at this precise moment in time it’s about 30/70 I wont make it.

Well the best price for the train they could muster was £248 return…..

That’s a crazy price Nathan and sounds like an Open Return required for travel before 9.30, which I suppose you’d have to do

    Another time may be

Oh hell; you’ve just made me realise I’ve arranged a ‘laideeswholunch’ thingy in Edinburgh when racing from York is on the telly. It means I’ll have to find a nearby bookies so I can dive in and out to watch the races :?

I’ve found a cheaper way but still not good as for the £63.80 it(National Express Coach) will take me to York and back via London Paddington taking 9 hours and 25 minutes to get there and a whopping 10 hours 30 minutes to get back. I would be half tempted but I have work the next day…….. :|

Your enthusiasm is admirable Nathan: how you’d even contemplate 20 hours on a coach in order to see Toronado and Drone in the flesh is beyond me, but touching nevertheless :)

The only way to get realistically-priced train travel is to plan ahead as there’s innumerable discounted ‘Advance’ tickets if you can pin yourself down to a specific day, specific train and book at least a month ahead

It’s also often cheaper to buy two Singles rather than a Return and regarding York from Taunton it can work out cheaper (and not much longer) travelling to Paddington-Underground-Kings Cross-York than the direct Cross Country route via Birmingham

I use Qjump for advance-ticket bookings

    Thanks for that link Drone.
If Somerset make it to that last day in this season County Championship with a realistic chance of winning the Holy Grail then I might have to pull a sickie from work for the four days. Do you think QJump would refund my advance tickets if the Ziderboys cock it up beforehand?.

As per Ante-Post punting Advance Rail Tickets are ‘all in, run or not’. You’ve taken a value price so now you just have to hope it’s a runner :)

Tetleyboys v Ziderboys, Headingley 23rd – 26th September. It’s in my diary Nathan and it’ll be a first if I do attend as I’ve never before been to a CC match during the last week of September

I had hoped the sheep would dally a while longer….but a quick graze then odd to his offie for some more night vision ……

Now the pressing matter of impaling the Pilsen …or the man / woman behind the name

    Its interesting that when the

    pILSENdude

is under pressure , Diane Avis comes along to help …..add a little support

    Why ??

Whats the link between the horrid and the chief ?? would have to consider that in the outage process

Nasty Business though ….I w.ill wait for the sheep to return before any more of this ..
