Any strong views or do we side with Nicky Henderson and My Petra?
A race Nick Henderson must target and he won with Greenhope @20/1 in 1996. Interesting to see Greenhope in the line up today and he has yet to take out Crozan who ran badly yesterday.
Overall I think Andreas has too much weight and it looks like My Petra who ran a good race against Nolan recently could be the best hope.
Nick Henderson does well overall in handicap chases here and was only just touched off yesterday with Barbers Shop and his Fleet Street run a blinder in getting placed @66/1.
Whatever he runs today in this race I will back. My Petra for the win and any others on the win and place markets.
Any other views?
March 14, 2008 at 08:42 #150778I’m looking to take the top two in the market on with, Tiger Cry, who has been trained for this all year, and is strongly fancied by connections, and Enlightenment, who is progressive, has course form, and I think the strongly run 2 miles on a stiff track will be ideal. I backed both yesterday at 12/1.
March 14, 2008 at 09:06 #150784I took 14/1 My Petra but now much too short and I wouldn’t be at all confident – ideally would want good ground and secondly the form of the Sandown race was hardly boosted by Noland on Tuesday.

His rider, Paul Moloney, is of the same opinion as you, Petski, a fast run 2 miles on a stiff track is ideal.
Possol, a horse he beat easily at Ludlow last time, ran well in the Jewson yesterday.

March 14, 2008 at 16:53 #151035Good result mate, a big gamble was landed on that I think, he certainly moved in the market a fair bit.
March 14, 2008 at 17:05 #151040That’s Tiger Cry and High Chimes you’ve found now, isn’t it, Petski? Not a bad couple of days’ work!

March 14, 2008 at 17:12 #151045I’ve had a cracking week. If Wanango wins the last (backed it at 12/1) it certainly will put the cherry on the top.
March 14, 2008 at 17:16 #151050I’d settle for that! He was my idea of a Grand Annual winner on the back of his Uttoxeter win before they re-routed him to this – there’s no questioning his heart at present either way.
I’ve got interests in Wingman, Roman Villa and Freeloader as well, in a last effort to make a very good Cheltenham a chuffing ace one.
