Gotta be totally off your trolley if your venturing down here…. mmmm…. can’t find the lights, there’s bound to be a switch somewhere…. hang on whilst I strike a match…..

Sorry Matron, didn’t expect to see you doing THAT with Billy, no wonder you had the lights off, old Billy needs to get some clothes on now though, it’s damnably cold down here and he’ll catch pneumonia…. nuemoania…. new monia…. he’ll catch a cold…..

Ah, that’s quieter, they’ve both slunk off with their tails between their legs, although perhaps that’s not a subtle choice of words….
Just need to arrange some chairs and a spot of heating down here and then clean up all those tissues in the corner…. I can’t think what they were used for…. mmmm…. something fishy about this place…. :D
OK, I’ll arrange the place ready for you guys to visit this afternoon and I’ll try to get us off to a flying start tonight…. that’ll give Billy time to have a shower…..

Ahhh, that’s better…. nice bit of carpet on the floor, the radiators switched on and a chalkboard for everyone to put their selections up….. mmmm…. a home from home….

My betting is split into various categories, but I make most profit from trading and casinos….. I’m not intending to promote a discussion on the rights or wrongs of my approaches, these work for me, you just feel free to use the ideas or reject them as you wish…. with my sports bets, it’s a mixture of "bet ‘n forget" and "trading", I find simple trading to be very low risk and quite profitable….. but there are times when trading is not possible because I’m not around to take part or I’m asleep, that should make only a little difference to the end result because I try to make my selections based on what I expect the end result to be anyway, so I would place my bets and just let the bet ride with no second thoughts about trading, I would only trade if I was available…..
I’m a successful trader (small money) and there are many ways to trade, but I like to keep everything simple so that I don’t get bogged down with bucket loads of data….. I only mention this because my bets contain the possible market movements that you would require in a trade, so if you fancy trading these, then be my guest….. for the sake of the forum I will keep scores using level stakes, I will only mention if a trade was successful, I think that levels is the safest format for members to compare….

    Right, you

    Old Windbag

, for a start it sounds as if you are jealous that

    Matron

and me have some private time, if you wish to make a threesome I am sure I can arrange an invite providing you can keep a civil tongue in your head and learn to knock on the door before entering but do remember there is no eating beans for at least 24 hours.

The carpet is nice, is it shag pile? I will have to watch out for carpet burns now.

Correct you did make the wrong choice of words and they certainly were not tails – have you never heard of donkeys!

    Trading! Trading

, what on earth is going on are you trying to kid us that you know what you are doing, well maybe, after all it is about time anyway.

Now let’s see where you are leading us and I certainly hope you will find a good footie system for some Saturday fun without betting on the number of corners etc. I find it hard enough to get the Home – Draw or Away.

    C’mon,

    Windy

, lets be hearing from you and make it snappy after all it’s Saturday tomorrow.

   shag pile!!!!…. that’s really funny Billy, made me laff, who woke you up anyway….. OK, here we go for today’s bets….

    Baseball….

    N Y Yankees @ Boston….. LAY Boston @ 1.67…. WON… :D
    San Diego @ Pittsburgh….. LAY Pittsburgh @ 1.73…. WON… :D
    St Louis @ Florida….. LAY Florida @ 1.86…. (NAP bet)…. WON… :D

The baseball bets are NOT my own selections, they are taken from ratings that are showing a 40pts profit in 3 months…..

    Footy….

    Anderlecht v Mechelen…. Lay The Draw @ 5.00….. WON… :D
    Columbia U20 v South Korea U20…. Lay The Draw @ 4.60…. WON… :D

My maximum price when LAYING is 5.00 (4/1), if you DON’T like laying at these prices, just BACK THE FAVOURITE…. plenty of profit in backing the favourite, but it doesn’t give me enough freedom to trade and primarily I like to trade if I can…..

I will trade the earlier one, but the Columbia match doesn’t kick off until 2.00am and I’ll be tucked up in bed then cuddling my bottle of Grouse….. but all results will be shown ignoring trading…. this should be a laugh a minute…..

No good for the gout, MrE, that Grouse stuff.

Did you hear about the time Billion thought he had gout? Yeah apparently the doctor told him you don’t get gout in that place. It turns up Matron mistook something small for a sausage and took a nibble at it……….

I, presume you "green-up" when the first goal is scored?

Do you have a "stop-loss" in place or do you just take the full loss if no goal is scored?

    Best of luck for today.

  @ Nathan….. you just can’t help laffing can you…. there’s Bilious springing to the defense of his sausage and Matrons attempt to munch on it….. that reminded me of the old song about "Frankfurter Sandwiches"…..
Then there’s yourself getting all mixed up and misunderstanding my mention of cuddling the grouse….. that could be another name of what I caught Billy and Matron doing earlier….. it suits the pair of ’em don’t it…. Matron feeling Bilious, and then both of them resorting to cuddling the Grouse….. if it was covered in feathers, it was probably thrush….. :D :D :D now THAT’S funny Billy Boy……

As for my personal explanation of cuddling that bird is that I never said that I actually drank it, you just assumed that Nathan, I just used it to bathe the effected part on my anatomy that was suffering from gout….. but I suppose that’s just what Billy was doing with Matron again….. perhaps it’s better if I refrain from mentioning that, Billy ‘Un has already mentioned a threesome….. oh dear, I think I feel ill already…..

    Matron

, we shall have to stop using the mobile phone, just when we thought the NOW had gone out of production and the hacking would stop, that

    nosey old sod the Windbag

comes back on the scene stirring things up. Well I am just going to ignore the self inflated bag of hot air.

    Football: –

    Bristol City v

    IPSWICH TOWN

    2/1 V Chandler 2pts

    PRESTON NORTH END

    v Colchester United 6/5 bet365 2pts

    PNE 4/5 + IPSWICH 2/1 1pt. double V Chandler

    :)

Local knowledge, Ipswich have spent well during the close season and are tipped as contenders for promotion.

Colchester continue to tread water and have limited ambition choosing to invest in an academy thus playing the long game.

Hello Matron….. those guys are talking about you mate, but I’ve sprung to your defence, we can’t have ’em saying those things about the "boss" can we….. you can depend on me Matron…..

In answer to your query…. I never enter a trade without having an exit point, so if I am trading, my exit point is at 2.00 for a minimum loss across the board…. doesn’t always work like that though, I’ve cocked up a few times with late goals, so I tend to vary my trades according to the price that I got when striking the bet….. complex aint it….. no, not really…. I’ve already stated that my max price is 5.00, I even find that price causes my bowels to loosen, so I tend to let the match kick off and if there’s no goals the price shortens…. I quite often go in on my matches if they are still level after half an hour, or even wait until half time….. I can then LTD at odds of 3.00 or less…. now if I take those odds, I don’t bother to trade out because the risk is a lot less…..
I have found that successful trading requires several avenues and rather than take an early price, it can be better to wait for 20/30 minutes and get really decent prices…. this is the reason I suggested forgetting trading for this thread, it would be hard for members to know exactly what I was doing….. but the short answer to your question is that if you take a price at kick off at between 4.00 to 5.00, then exit at 2.00….. but if you get a price less than that, stay in to the death….. all the matches that I pick I expect goals, so staying until the death shouldn’t be a concern….. there are danger areas that need to be played a bit differently, especially if the dog scores first….. but now we’re getting into serious dancing mode…. until your happy with the selections, I’d just play it straight…. if you want to partake in dodging the bullets, then it might be prudent to resort to PM so that we don’t bore Billy and the others….. he’s already declined betting outside of the domestic season, that’s the first time that I’ve ever heard of anyone refusing to win money before the end of August….. sorry about the longish answer Matron, but there isn’t a short way to explain my trading….

Hello again….. yesterday was a superb day with all bets successful…. and the trades were always easy…..
So that gives us a 4.75 profit to Level Stakes for Day 1 if straight betting…. and a 3.85 profit if trading…..
The profit on trading is lower but carries less risk…..

    Marseille v Sochaux…. Lay The Draw @ 4.50…. LOST…. :(
    Paris S G v Lorient…. Lay The Draw @ 4.20…. WON…. :D
    Palmerias v Gremio…. Lay The Draw @ 4.40…. LOST…. :(

Remember, if you dont like laying at these prices, it is still profitable to bet the favourite to WIN, I only LTD for trading purposes….. if you had just bet the favs on the footy yesterday and layed the favs on the baseball, you would still have made a profit of 3.73pts…. there is no need to LTD if it’s likely that you soil your nappies…..

A LOSING day yesterday….. but now I’m left with trying to find the best way to record these….. I think that it’s best if I stick to the two formats that I started with and forget trying to record the winning fav bets….. so the records will continue to show the results as posted, that is the Lays and the Trades…. if anyone is betting the favs to win or any other method using these selections, they had better keep their own scores….. :D
So yesterday was Day 2 and these are the scores on the doors including those dismal results…..

Straight LAYS (as posted)…. profit from Day 1 was 4.75pts, there was a loss of 5.95pts yesterday, that leaves us a debit of (- 1.10pts)

Trading ONLY (no baseball)…. yesterday I made 2.25pts profit trading on the Marseille match and the Paris S G match….. but I had to bale out at my exit point on the Palmerias game because there was no goals….. I tried to get out for scratch (no loss) but I wasn’t clever enough, so I LOST 1pt on this game…. I normally exit quicker than that, but this time I was watching telly…. :D so that reduced my profit on the day to only 1.25pts….. not concerned though because my running balance on trading is at a profit of 5.10pts after Day 2…..
    :D :D :D :D
