    Further details yet to emerge as to why, but The Gurkha underwent surgery yesterday and all future plans are on hold.

    Hope he’s okay.

    Fingers crossed for him. Would be a real shame if his career is cut short.

    It is said that The Gurkha was suffering from a displaced colon. His career is now in question.

    I was surprised how slowly the bookmakers reacted to the news of his surgery, with him remaining as low as 5/2 favourite for the QE II for quite some time after the news broke.

    That would be a loss we can ill afford, with a bit of a dearth of talent around (In my opinion of course)
