Is this the time to be on Gritti Palace? Has been crying out for this trip and I have been waiting oh so long for him to attempt it. Thought he might turn up in the NH Chase but if he goes on Saturday I suspect he will be an e/w steal.
February 19, 2008 at 22:11 #144855If Lucky Nellerie can get a run then she may run a huge race as she was in with a very good chance in last years Borders National at Kelso until getting rid of the rider 4 out and she has still got a lot of improvement left in her
February 19, 2008 at 22:16 #144858Yep, agreed. The entries look good and looks to be a fascinating race on paper if indeed it lacks a little class but there are plenty of potential improvers in there.
I have just liked Gritti from day one really (so the heart is coming into it) becuase his sire produced a National runner up and a previous Eider winner and his damsire was also the damsire of Devon National winner, Welsh National winner and Aintree runner up Supreme Glory. He should stay without any problems,as should your selection. Forecast?!!
February 19, 2008 at 22:18 #144860Newbay Prop would be interesting if God sends him over- has won over 3m 5 and looked like he needed it in the Thyestes.
February 19, 2008 at 23:02 #144874In a podcast I did last October I outlined Newbay Prop as a likely type for a soft or heavy-ground renewal of the Eider or Midlands National, and I still stick by the confidence I had in the Tony Martin inmate then.
I just hope the peak didn’t come and go with that Leopardstown win over Christmas!
