loved it when Lisa told Rex that the no. 3 girl in the identity parade was ‘common looking’ – and it now turns out to be his girlfriend! I’m sure these two girls will get on like a house on fire!
I’m also hoping that someone will finally turn round and tell the smug ginger tw@t to ‘**** off and die’. He really needs to be taken down a peg or two.
Couldnt disagree more about Rex, I think he is possibly the best person ever in the big brother house. The bloke just doesnt care. Love him or hate him,he makes good television. The other night when they were shown the VTs, plenty could have just made nothing of it. Rex on the other hand made a big deal out of it and made that episode another one of the best single episodes this year (along with Denis Spitgate, where rex also played the igniting spark, and every big episode with Alexandra, where Rex was the antagonist on almost every occasion). Loved Rex’s quote to Rachel "I’d swap you for scrabble".
IMO Big Brother without Rex would be rubbish. This is the best year of it I can remember, better than BB3 which would probably be second best. Its because he doesnt care and because he has money that makes him so good, because he’s being a total wind up merchant.
I still want Darnell to win but I think it would be brilliant if Rex stays for another while. Hes too much like marmite thiough to make the final IMO.
Am glad Luke went, I couldnt stand the bloke. He properly couldnt believe he went and didnt seem to expect he might actually go all through the weekend.
How weird was it when everyone went round each other and said who they thought would win, Luke or Kathreya? I think the very thought of Luke winning was what got him voted out. Perhaps it was just me who hadnt realised that Luke was so hated by Kat until that point onwards.
IMO Kat is looking more like a game player every time I see her and she and rachel contribute very little to the best episodes because they are not confrontational enough, they are just playing the game of not being noticed which will almost guarantee a place in the final, without guaranteeing a win.
I hope Rex stays in for another while, because if you actually look around the house at where any confrontation may come from if he goes, where would it be from? In every big brother it peaks about half way when the best charcters get voted out and then you are left with some right boring so and so’s for the remainder, IMO Rex leaving will be the turning point for the program this year, and it has been brilliant so far.
BB is well past its sell by date now-never thought I’d say it but it’s now rubbish.Don’t care who wins this year,well, as long as it’s not Kat,can’t stand the fake ******.

thing about Rex, in the early days he was quiet as a mouse when motormouth’s Alex and Dennis were in there. He’s become pivotal to the show since I admit, but this continued grooveying with Nicole is showing him up for what he is – shallow, ostentatious, and treats women as accessories – woe betide Nicole if she ever gets a huge wart on her face..!he’s had his moment of glory, so, sorry to say, this week it’s going to be :-

I dont think rex could win, but there is something about him that seems to bring out the worst in people, and that is good. He brought the worst out of alex, he brought the worst out of almost the whole house (and most of all jen) just by putting his finger in the painting. he and mohammed brought the worst out of becks and luke. He brought the worst out of lisa yesterday, and he’s made rachel (genuinely) cry the other night. We didnt see that much on the Tv early on to indicate why rex was being singled out by everyone but he clearly gets right under everyones skin.
I hope nicole being in the house doesnt make him nicer to people as that would be boring. Ever since evil jen went the show could have went down hill, but rex has kept it going. Once you get past the fact that he is up his own arse a bit, he is actually a bit of a pantomime bad guy and he is very entertaining to watch. He wont make it to the finalists as there are too many people that dont like him to keep surviving (he has just been up against more dislikable people so far). My stance is that now most of the real characters that really got under your skin are now gone. Once Rex goes I think it will just be a load of people in the house being superficial and plastic with each other, as thats what most of them have been doing for the whole series, and I will soon lose interest.
BB is never about who wins for me, its about the people that make the best TV along the way. No-one really wants to watch nice idiots on telly surely?
Yes Bulwark, Rex is entertaining, he says what he feels, and he doesn’t care what anyone thinks – but is that good? It certainly doesn’t make him a nice person in my opinion.
He was also a lot quieter when Mario was in the house, was a lot quieter when Stu and Dale had a go at him over Pizzagate etc. Could it be that this arrogant tw@t is just a bully? After all, he only picks on the girls and seems to enjoy reducing them to tears.
I will quote what I wrote in a recent BB article;
“…but I must make a plea to the Great British public – don’t let Rex win. If he does it will be a victory for arrogance, a victory for dominant males who bully harmless women, a victory for restauranters up and down the country who brag about their wealth – but most of all, it will be a victory for side partons, reminiscent of those worn by 1930s footballers – he mustn’t win!”
Ok, the final bit is a bit tongue in cheek, but the rest is how I really feel about him.
I hope he gets evicted this week and leaves his girlfriend at the mercy of Dale, so that Dale can ‘nail that fanny’ he promised to do in his VT.
And after Rex ridiculed Dale about that audition tape, wouldn’t it just be ironic?

UG, Yes, Kat certainly has wound me up-I’m not bothered so much if others are fakes they don’t annoy me like Kat does.
All that cookie power stuff and awful singing,she even talks in a very annoying singy-songy voice(when it suits) I have to mute or turn the volume right down when she’s on.As for all that stuff about learning new words-she probably knows more words than most in the house.At least she’s nowhere near fave now…6.2 last time I looked.She’s been sussed

To be fair Rex is now looking like a shadow of the villain he once was since his girlfriend came in. I never did once think rex was a nice bloke I just thought he makes good tv out of what are otherwise boring situations by bringing out the worst in others. That looks improbable from here on in.
Im not sure if rex is so much a bully, I just think he is genuinely an aggrevative annoying person. I think the reason he doesnt have a go at stuart, dale and mario (when he was in the house) was because he just didnt click with them. Likewise with luke, however he regularly mocks mohammed and darnell when the chance arises, and he did get fired right into dale over the VT the other week.
The actual game of big brother is to be popular without being ever confrontational and make it to the final without having annoyed enough people to get voted out, but yet be popular enough to win. To actually play the big brother "game" is boring television, yet so many left in the house are plauing that exact game. The thing I had liked about rex (until nicole came in) was that he wasnt playing that.
Almost everyone else in the house is playing that game. Rachel and Kat better than others. Dale and co just (rather than be up front) sit and bitch all the time. Mikey quite blatantly is playing a game. I think people are somewhat phased by the thoughht of putting him up for nomination, but he really needs it. I think if it were rex vs mikey, mikey might just get voted out.
Darnell to win still for me. What is happening with him and sarah, does she genuinely fancy him or is she just trying to tip him over the edge?

I think it was the writer Evelyn Waugh [among others I’m sure] who said he thought women were destructive creatures, and reluctantly I’m inclined to agree with him here, and poor ol’ Rex is now reaping the consequences of his foolish obsession. How easy it is for a woman to make a fool of a man!
All this smoocheying has been his undoing, but I still think it’s good television Bulwark, to see him sidetracked in this way.
BB has been a bit cruel here really, playing mind games with him, and they set him up for this something rotten.
– good!Did you know about Rex’s background? a rich Gay dad and an estranged mother who, having led a glamorous life whilst with his father, who of course was in the closet, since she left she’s got all tatooed and pierced, like a Greenham Common type. Perhaps this has a lot to do with his controlling behaviour, and his animosity to unglamorous women like Rachel who eschews all those things.
