9 horses backed in the Stayers Hurdle, and that’s only those we NOW know about.

I trust criticism of my “scattergun approach” will be silenced now? You’re obviously a convert, Gord. That post has to be the one that not only dug the hole for yourself but buried you too…You are a clueless dick and a half about the exchanges and its all there for all to see..I reckon everyone on here will understand the exchanges and how they work except you Ginge…
I did say to you earlier this would happen but your stubborn stupidity has to be exposed…Sorry pal
March 12, 2017 at 13:39 #1291376Fine, I thought you were saying you’d backed those others and only losing a lesser amount on those than the rest. I often end up with a -£45 on some I’ve backed as savers and a far greater loss on the ones I’ve not backed. If it’s only -£45 on the total bet then ok my mistake on that one, apologies.
It still doesn’t change the fact that you’re deciding who to tell TRFers about after they’ve shortened up significantly. Not telling us of all those you’ve backed that aren’t doing so well.

I’m saying no more about it…You have apologised like a Gentleman and we will laugh at your expense the next time I’m at Newbury.Good luck at Cheltenham pal.
March 12, 2017 at 15:10 #1291397My second bet for this years festival was on Ballyandy for the ‘Supreme’ £20 at 22’s on the machine but I also had £20 on Battleford at 25’s and £20 on Bacardys such was the impression last years ‘Bumper’ had on me.I also have £100 worth of bets on Capitaine at 25’s.
Total £160
Another loser for me is Blow by Blow to £50 at 10/1 to win any race at the festival but I have £50 on Battleford at 16/1 to do the same
Total £100Why be so secretive of the Ballyandy bet until now, Gord? Nothing said about the bet after last year’s Festival. In fact I’ve gone through your posts and there’s nothing at all about having backed him for the Supreme until this thread started… Including throughout the Betfair Hurdle thread where you were rightly so confident of him winning that. Indeed, after the race you told everyone:
“Ballyandy’ wont win the ‘Supreme’ on good ground so dont go reinvesting those winnings guys”.
Why not mention that you’d backed Ballyandy for the Supreme but no longer think he’ll be suited by it?
At the time of those words – after the Betfair – it was completely up in the air whether he’d go for the Supreme, Neptune or County. We did not hear that you’d in fact backed Ballyandy for the Supreme (presumaly last March) until after the decision had been made.Indeed, the only race you had told us you’ve backed Ballyandy for prior to this thread was the Neptune, saying:
“I also have a tenner on Ballyandy at 26’s,My idea of the winner though is Messire des Obeaux”.
…Yet backing him for the Neptune has been forgotten on this thread.
You might have backed Ballyandy for the Supreme
but the point is you’ve waited until it’s shortened considerably for that race and forgotten the Neptune bet.Had Ballyandy been running in the Neptune am sure you’d have remembered him here and not told us about the (before this) secret Supreme bet. Anyone can make a profit by selectively forgetting some bets and remembering others at big odds; by including some bets who’ve shortened up and not including others…
…also exaggerating some stakes and reducing others, but I guess that’ll be for another time.

Here is every quote I found about the Supreme and other novices:
Mar 19 Loved by All Who Knew Her: Rest In Peace:
Next year TAPK’s going to do a thread titled ‘How to beat Willie Mullins at his own game’.It will kick off with a horse who can only have 2 possible targets..Battleford.He’s 20/1 for the ‘Supreme’ and 16/1 for the ‘Neptune’ with PP,backed now he’ll go off single figures but we wont know where till Monday 16th March 2017.If Mullins had his way he wouldn’t tell us then either,he’d just run his horses as he feels on the day.Of course had he done that this year ‘Vautour’ would have run in the Gold Cup!Mar 20 The Cheltenham Certinty:

A horse that really caught the eye last season was Blow by Blow, his defeat of ‘Moon racer’ on only his 4th start reads well, trouble is all his 4 runs have been over 2m and this fellow looks a stayer in the making to me.The Pipe horse is 7/1 fav for ‘The Supreme’ and yet his Punchestowns conqueror trades at 3 times the price,of course ‘Blow by Blow’ is quoted for the ‘Neptune’ too at 25/1 and also the ‘Albert Bartlett’ at 12/1.From his gritty style of running the latter race looks perfect for this very stoutly bred gelding who’s related to ‘Sir des champs’ and ‘Royal Athlete’ and if I was forced to choose a target it would be the 3m Novice race. What I have noticed though is,in the Betfair Sportsbook market for ‘Win any race at Cheltenham’ they are offering a very generous 10/1 about this fellow and I have duly obliged.Nov 27 Walsh – Battleford:
This will look even worse at the end of the season after Battleford has won the Grade 1 ‘Neptune’ at Cheltenham. The strangest ride I have ever seen from Ruby was his ‘effort’ on ‘Un des sceaux’ in the Champion chase against ‘Sprinter Sacre’..There was no effort!Jan 4 Supreme:
One of my fav races at the meeting, robbed with ‘Darlan’ 25/1 and ‘MTOY’ 25/1,nailed ‘Vautour’ 10/1 and ‘Altior’ 8/1 but Arcalis winning this in 2005 was my greatest result in the ‘Supreme’.’Senewalk’ was the long time Ante-Post fav for this even before Rich Ricci signed the cheque,he needs to do the same on ‘Cilaos emery’ if he’s got one for this years race I reckon. My idea of this years winner is another Grey…Capitaine 25/1 in places still, this fellow will be single figures if he wins the grade 1 Tolworth on Saturday and the logical stepping stone to the ‘Supreme’itself, yes I know Historically Tolworth winners tend to take the ‘Neptune’ route but this greys a free runner and 2m is his trip this year.I’m hoping he can run em ragged at Sandown and go to Cheltenham and lay it down to ‘Moon Racer’ a horse who has been trained for this for the past 2 years.Jan 4 Supreme:
Always re-assuring when others agree Aaron,Good luck.Tell you something, when I first saw ‘Finians Oscar’ win at lowly Hereford the other week I wrote down ‘Neptune/Albert Bartlett’ type so I’m amazed connections fancy taking on the speedy Capitaine over 2m..9/4 about our horse on Saturday should read 6/4 imo.Feb 4 Betfair:
I always say whatever JP runs in this back it….Not this year though,I reckon Ballyandy is tailor-made for it,closer inspection sees him getting in with a mere 10-6,thats a flyweight. His form is top class for a Novice and it will need to be to win a Betfair hurdle but this fellow has a touch of the MTOY’s about him and I think he’s a massive player at 9’s on the machine.Feb 5 Betfair:
Both Ballyandy and My Tent or Yours started their careers through the National hunt flat races,’Ballyandy’ won the Grade 1 bumper at Cheltenham the same race his nemesis Moon racer won the year earlier, that in itself is top class novice form.Their hurdle clashes since confirm that and ‘Moon Racer’ had been Fav for the ‘Supreme’ most of this season again confirming they are both high class Novices.’MTOY’ was a pretty inexperienced novice hurdler when he contested the ‘Betfair’ hurdle at Newbury and ‘Ballyandy’ is much the same.’MTOY’ had contested 3 weak novice hurdles prior to his ‘Betfair’ victory and had actually got beat at 1/3,that was when I told the world he’d win the ‘Betfair’ and ‘Supreme’hurdles, spotting a horses talents isn’t always about those that win Stilvi and again ‘Ballyandy’ falls into this category. We haven’t seen the best of him yet,his last run against Messire des Obeaux will with my advantage of foresight prove to be yet another top class effort when that horse wins the ‘Neptune’.So to sum up..Both ‘MTOY’ and ‘Ballyandy’ at the same time in their respective careers contested National hunt flat races,a couple of Novice hurdles and dive straight into a ‘Betfair’ hurdle as 6yo’s.What makes Ballyandy look so leniently weighted is the fact that in his total career of 3 Novice hurdles he’s ran against 2 horses highly touted for Cheltenham and gets in on 10-6…Hope this helps Stilvi.Feb 5 Neptune:
The first horse I backed for this last April was Battleford at 20/1,apologies for the aftertiming as he’s 190’s now and he’s another one of the Mullins horses who hasn’t shown what he’s capable of yet…Patience is a virtue! I would say I’m £50 down on the race but I also have a tenner on Ballyandy at 26’s so we’ll see what happens there. My idea of the winner though is Messire des Obeaux he ticks every box for me and he just seemed to out stay Ballyandy’ over 21/2m at Sandown giving him 7lb.I cant believe he’s drifting on the machine to 15’s this morning so will hold fire for now but imo he should be the 6/1 2nd fav behind ‘Finians Oscar’.Feb 6 Betfair:
He’s (Ballyandy’s) priced up on the fact that he’s ran close to ‘Moon Racer’ twice and just touched off by this years ‘Neptune’ winner Zark,it will be a war of attrition this and you will need a horse who stays 21/2m,he’s thrown in on ratings,he’ll be a 150 hurdler in time easily, everything is in his favour to canter round a course that will suit and of course if I say he’s going to win, inevitably it wins…Dead simple really.Feb 7 Betfair:
Big G 5/1 Ballyandy is still big pal,if the ground deteriorates any more there could be more Non-runners and ‘Ballyandy’ could go off 5/2fav.I said ‘MTOY’ at 5/1 was still huge when he romped home too.Feb 8 Betfair:
There’s been money for ‘Clyne’ Big G and with the anticipated really soft ground it will be a 2 horse race, this fellow is 5lb well in on ratings for chasing home ‘The New One’,thats solid form but Nige will have his mark, however when I scoured the betting a couple of weeks ago I’m assessing every horses weight in my head and my first impression was Ballyandy would be at least levels with ‘Clyne’…TAPK’s pretty sharp when it comes to handicapping…You can imagine my disbelief when I’m scouring down the weights and see ‘Ballyandy’ nearer the bottom than the top.The handicapper will raise him after Saturdays romp for sure but every pound he gets from ‘Clyne’ only helps our cause and he gets 8 of them…Should be a spectacle.Feb 9 Betfair Hurdle:
We saw the effect 8lb makes today at Huntingdon.TAPK’s Neptune horse Messire des Obeaux getting caught close home after lumping 11-12 round…’Clyne’ supporters will feel the same way on Saturday when Ballyandy gets the same amount from him.Feb 11 Betfair Hurdle:
Well normally TAPK the legend that is would be blowing his own trumpet about yet another Ante-Post coup landed but since I started contributing again I have toned down my modesty accordingly.Apart from that this race really was a piece a piss to evaluate and those that listened to the King of foresight should have been rewarded handsomely at 8/1…It really wasn’t rocket science that Ballyandy was going to go off any bigger than 3/1 so it was just a case of yet another day in the Office of studying horses and being rewarded for such..’Ballyandy’ wont win the ‘Supreme’ on good ground so dont go reinvesting those winnings guys..The 2nd horse on good ground is a serious horse too and ‘Clyne’ ran right up to his mark…Those 8lbs eh?…Well done lads, enjoy.
For those not familiar with the King of foresights work just wait till Cheltenham…Yeh baby!Feb 12 Delloite:
Ballyandy,Blow by Blow,Battleford…Name the missing horse??It begins with ‘B’Feb 14 Delloite:
Good question Ruby..Bacardys has speed, his hold up tactics work a treat over 21/2m,16/1 for the Neptune is generous. Why he’s only 10/1 for the Albert Bartlett surprises me as the Neptune is the easier race.Feb 25 Supreme thread:
TAPK hasn’t lost faith in Capitaine but he really needs to make all today and gallop clear around Kempton to have a serious chance of doing the same at Cheltenham…11/4 has been taken today.Value Is EverythingMarch 12, 2017 at 15:57 #1291401
March 12, 2017 at 17:21 #1291429I think we can conclude from all this is that Ginger doesn’t use betfair!
March 12, 2017 at 18:07 #1291439Ginge you are digging a hole for yourself here…Not for the first time either.Do you think everytime I place a bet I’m supposed to tell everyone on here?..You must be joking pal.I tell a select few on here my bets and thats via Facebook, they know who they are and you aint one of them…Now I see you and Zark are both on West approach at 120’s and 110’s respectively?…Obviously you can both prove those prices are accurate??
That way we can stop questioning each others integrity eh?
We dont want to be checking the Betfair Histogram now do we boys?

Of course am not on @ 120’s, it was a joke.
Am not expecting you to put up every bet on TRF. I don’t put up every bet either, but I don’t include them in my claims of profit.Don’t blame you for wanting to tell us somewhere about those not mentioned before that have now (days before the Festival) shortened up considerably. But this does allow you to be selective on which horses TRFers are told about in this Cheltenham p/l thread.
eg West Approach stayers and Ballyandy supreme etc… If they win (profit) it will now be included in results. But had – by start of this thread Feb 28th – these already been non-runner losing bets (deficit) – would they have been included in what you claim each year to be your Cheltenham p/l thread?

Anyway, thanks for telling us your TRF Cheltenham thread includes some bets and not others.
If Uknowhatimeanharry or Ballyoptic (or NRNB saver Jezki) do not win the Stayers, hope West Approach does for you, Gord.

The case against the defendant (TAPK) has been thrown out M’lud..The Prosecution (Ginge) will have to pay me £20K with court costs of a further £100k for that pathetic attempt of undermining my legendary status.
What Ginge always fails to do when I throw a few crumbs off the Kings table is make a loaf of bread,he comes up with the odd slice and as we say in Scotland “A half loaf never filled an Army”

I gave you a get out of jail card there Ginge…Lucky for you,you played it eh?
TAPK doesn’t need to make you look a plonker…You do a bloody good job of it yourself pal.
Now I’m not going to say no more about it…Again!
