Didn’t see it. What actually happened?
October 30, 2007 at 07:51 #122237She planted herself at the exit to the course, duly dumped Adam twice and ended up having to be led down to the start.
Slowly away (a trait we are used to) she travelled nicely on the inside rail and it was pleasing to see her handle the bend well and the first attempt right handed.
Anyways with a furlong to go she looked nailed on for a place until that lack of a recent run caught up with her.
Considering how much she would have needed it we have to be well chuffed with the result and it hopefully bodes well for the coming months.Sorry for not commenting on the trainingsituation,it’s just with these things there is so much red tape and the such like and you don’t want to say too much on a public forum, but basically Taj is still trained by Kirsty but until she can find suitable premises to train from the horses will continue to be homed at Hugh’s and run under his name.
Wasn’t aware until recently but you can watch replays of RUK races for a week after they have taken place for free on the new channel 4 racing website.
http://www.racingpost.co.uk/c4/
You need to be registered to the Racing Post website and it works on Internet Explorer (not Firefox) but is useful for those who don’t have RUK and like to watch the replays afterwards.
Will put a couple of piccies on when the opportunity arises.
October 30, 2007 at 20:12 #122346Thanks for all the info GD, sounds very encouraging! She doesn’t normally play up though does she? Was she just very keen or did something upset her do you think?
October 31, 2007 at 13:09 #122439Very fresh I would say having not ran for six months, once she gets out of the stalls (admittedly rather slowly) you can’t question her attitude.

November 15, 2007 at 20:02 #124954Thanks, fingers crossed then
November 19, 2007 at 20:28 #125755Unfortunately she won’t be going to Kempton, but there’s a possible race at Wolves next week which hopefully she’ll go for.
Not a lot in the calendar at the mo for her which is a tad frustrating.
November 25, 2007 at 11:31 #126885Declared on Tuesday, sadly it will be the first time I’ll miss her running.
November 25, 2007 at 12:59 #126898It may be unusual but this is a message from one of the opposition on Tuesday.
I keep up a blog about veteran sprinter Blackheath. You can find it here
http://www.pinpoint1.f2s.com/html/black … _2007.htmlElsewhere on the website is a similar blog about Pinpoint, and hopefully there will be about sprinter Something. I don’t know whether these are of any interest. Anyway I was wondering whether anyone here knows of similar blogs or message board threads which follow the fortunes of racehorses?
All the best on Tuesday

MikeGreat blog! I kept one on Feels Like Heaven (horse with Middleham park which had share in) but she only ran twice then retired through injury so that ended that! Love the enthusiasm in your blog, shows not all people aren’t in it just for the money etc and that it is a great hobby – great work keep it up!
November 25, 2007 at 19:23 #127003Good luck to the team for Tuesday! Sorry you can’t be there GD. Sorry I can’t be there for that matter!
November 27, 2007 at 18:34 #127462How is she? She looked to get a right bumping from both horses either side of her. Hope she’s ok
November 27, 2007 at 20:01 #127474I didn’t see it but I saw she was last which isn’t like her. What happened?
