Some may say this is a cop out but I have always preferred an easy life.

Not having my laptop with me means that I cannot use my spreadsheet, so needs must!

I have cancelled my HRB subscription anyway but may well subscribe again when I get on my feet. From HRB I can copy and paste the race card straight into Excel and the numbers are crunched automatically, otherwise I have to enter the details manually, which is a bit of a bind.

I guess once a stats man always a stats man, eh Purwell and here was I thinking being surrounded by all these lovely nurses had turned you back into one of us.

The HRB race cards are the only ones that I have found that can be copied and pasted direct into Excel. That was my main reason for subscribing to it.

I have been trying to paste a table from Excel without success.
Anyone know how to do it?

I have still not found out how to do this, most frustrating but doesn’t look as though anyone is interested anyway.

i like stats. Used to spend ages doing those 10 year stats that they used to show on one site thats now gone. OLBG still show the 10 year stats for big races. Used to do really well with the big handicaps back then. I think it’s Darren Owen on W Hill racing radio that’s a big stats man and I often follow his tips. Got a bit to obsessed with racing over the past 18 months, though so I’m trying to limit myself. It was the best thing ever when racing radio went back on air last year!
