Gosden’s Rainbow View looks justified as just under 2/1 Fav on BF. Although her only outing at headquarters was a cakewalk, she appears to have the stamina for this afternoon’s 7f test on ground she should appreciate. The Newmarket experience should stand to her too.

Few of her opponents appear to have much in the way of stamina although Barry Hill’s Misdaqeya could be a danger but I doubt she has quite the fav’s staying power this early in her 2yo career.

An open looking affair but Rosabee has come out so Beat Seven looks the best of those with more experience along with Ahla Wasahl. She may appreciate the extra furlong and has run on this ground when 3rd in the Cherry Hinton, looks good value. The second to Rainbow View on her debut was beaten next time out by the same distance so hard to know if the form is solid. Hill’s filly appears held by Kissing The Camera.

I think I’ll have a go on e/w on Sanvean @ 20-1 and e/w on Yorksters Girl @ 25-1. Both have potential on this ground.

I don’t think Sanvean will get the 7f on this ground, Bulwark, although soemtimes when thre ground is right, stamina doesn’t count for much.

Possibly the case zilzal, iI would expect her to get a mile in time, but who knows, that was some performance by the winner. Far too easy.

The winner didn’t even have a race. Fast ground on her debut, soft ground this time, she looks a cracking prospect.

Mightily impressive, have taken the 10/1 for the 1000 Guineas.
With such a fluent action I’d be surprised if she needs soft ground, mostly American bred too. Bred to get at least 10f, she seems to have plenty of speed so should be effective at a mile in early May. What price would she be if trained by Mr. O’Brien?

The concern – Godolphin get their chequebook out. That will wreck any chance the filly has of winning a Guineas.

Its a sorry thing when the first thing you think of after a promising performance like that is Godolphin buying and wrecking the horse.

The good news is her owner is spectacularly rich, so I doubt if she’s going anywhere.

Indeed. Off the top of my head, I can’t remember Strawbridge ever selling even a decent prospect and Rainbow View is more than a decent prospect. She’ll stay where she is, I’m sure.

Mr Strawbridge raced a colt called With Interest, Gus, who won a nice backend maiden at Newbury (from Ordnance Row) in 2005.

He was quoted in double figures for the Guineas afterward, before going to Godolphin for an undisclosed sum.

Rainbow View is probably priceless, however.

Thanks, Maxilon, I’d forgotten that one. It’s a bit like Abdullah selling Lateen Sails to Godolphin a few years back. Neither Strawbridge nor Abdullah need the money and you wonder whether they simply took the view that they were clearly being offered far more than the horse could possibly be worth. Certainly, the days when the transfer of a horse to the "boys in blue" could be viewed as a positive career move are long gone.

I hope Rainbow View stays where she is for the sake of my ante-post bet.

I can’t see the owner selling this one as she has speed and bred to get further. Very impressive performance and best price for the 1000 is now 8-1. John Gosden says she will go for the May Hill next and has an entry in the Meon Stud Fillies mile.

Rainbow View was sensational … there was something ‘Oh So Sharp’ about her. This is one filly who, I reckon, could take on the colts 8)
