Wasn’t far behind Chaldean… Hi Royal was beaten a similar distance Vs Paddington as he was in the guineas. Modern Games carries the burden of weight for age. Meditate will be hoping Royal Scotsman doesn’t turn up.
Royal Scotsman should lose as 25/1 would suggest however 25/1 is belittling his ability. He has a good Goodwood record, plenty of speed for the course although I think any mile should suit him. He was 3s after the guineas for the St James Palace so if he can bounce back from the woeful Curragh run he wouldn’t be without a chance, he wasn’t beaten far behind Chaldean in the Dewhurst either. Will probably be handed his head by Chaldean again but at 25s the ticket looks to have some juice in it, judged on Dewhurst and Newmarket 2000…🧃
