How sad. They hoped for years to get Strong Flow back to his best. He must have been a good age. Strangely enough, I was only thinking about him the other day.
Not that old Moe at 18. Remember him winning the Hennessy as a Novice back in 2003. Think he beat Hedgehunter that day. I think he then got injured in a dodgy Boxing Day performance and was never the same on his return to the track.
I read an article about him whilst siting in a pub in Northumberland; that’s why it sticks in my memory so much. Recall thinking how adored he was by his connections. And so much potential; they say when you buy a racehorse you buy a dream, don’t they? Sadly 18 wasn’t old enough.
