I thought someone said they don’t charge for replays around festival time ?
I won’t be givin anyone my details just for 20 bloody pence. I might just have to watch a few i was gonnae bet on now <!– s:x –>
<!– s:x –>What d’ya reckon forumers, am i right or am i one stinjy git ? It all adds up if you think about it, the number of races and runners.
March 5, 2009 at 14:47 #213533Race replays are free for a week after the race on RacingUK.
You just have to register on the site.

March 5, 2009 at 14:47 #213534Rip Off. Dont know what happened to the annual sub for unlimited archive? Maybe its suspended while RUK transfer to newer technology.
March 5, 2009 at 14:54 #213535I know that Rob, but that’s of no use for horses that are gonnae run the festival. They are only races in the past week, right ?

I really can’t see that they’re charging at all at the moment?
Since they’ve changed to RP.com, I’ve watched numerous replays without a single word about any changes to my account balance.March 5, 2009 at 15:08 #213543Graeme The Donkey. Not strictly so about just the last week. Using their horse search engine. All of the horse’s previous races will be listed and if there is a camera logo next to a particular race then it’s one that will have been covered by ATR and you can immediately see a replay of either the whole race or just the finish – ALL FREE. Well worth free registration and just logging on.
March 5, 2009 at 15:42 #213551I’ve said before that there should be a channel on You Tube for putting ‘old’ races on there. Other sports do this – NHL, WRC, etc
How hard can it be – there obviously isn’t the will – maybe that’s ‘too modern’ for Racing.March 5, 2009 at 16:02 #213556It reminds of the bad old days when the BBC and Channel 4 wouldn’t let the other channel show replays, so for instance the BBC couldn’t show replays involving Cheltenham for Aintree, or Newmarket for Royal Ascot.
March 5, 2009 at 16:02 #213557When i try to watch a replay on RP it says "You’ve requested premium content which requires payment"…then says i can buy each race for 20p.
ATR have a crackin service that shows the race they broadcast, but obviously that leaves a gap for races they don’t have.
I haven’t even seen a replay of last seasons gold cup, because nobody has it, and i suspect the do gooders get races pulled from youtube because they don’t own the rights.
March 5, 2009 at 16:12 #213558Graeme, I recorded the 2008 Festival races on DVD on Tuesday, when they were being broadcast on Racing UK.
Unfortunately, I only set it to 3 hours, and it stops as Denman takes up the lead, a circuit from home.

Gerald seeing as you miss the ending, he pings every fence and wins.
March 5, 2009 at 16:36 #213563Oddschecker have a mini-site where you can watch certain pre-determined RacingUK race replays for free while the ATR races are available on the ATR site.
So for the Champion Hurdle you can watch the following races free NOW:
Christmas Hurdle
Fighting Fifth
Betfair Hurdle
Elite Hurdle
WBX.com HurdleHere’s a link
March 5, 2009 at 17:15 #213574Graeme, you shouldn’t pass over your details to pay 20p to watch a replay, what an absolute rip off.
If I was interested in watching old races I would find them somewhere else for free or find something else to be interested in. There is no way I would be putting out money for yesterday’s news.
March 5, 2009 at 17:37 #213583Thanks for the link David Brady, i’m watching some of those races as we speak. Jut watched the world hurdle and gold cup. Super stuff !!
I can’t believe that people can pick holes in the credibility of Denmans win
Dave jay – i wouldn’t stop taking an interest in racing because there’s a lack of replays mate. I have access to channels to watch the races themselves, but i’ll just mainly restrict myself to what i can bet on.
March 5, 2009 at 18:23 #213588Unfortunately, I only set it to 3 hours, and it stops as Denman takes up the lead, a circuit from home.

Sod that, he’ll have missed the Foxhunters!

I’m not a big punter. Even if i had a decent wedge, it’s still the principle. Racing post send people e-mails trying to sell a Cheltenham guide books for a tenner and god knows what else, is it too much to ask for them to allow people to see highlights for one or two days of the year for nothing around festival time for the punters ?
