I’ve already bet Langer Dan here in a few bets, and I think he could really come into the picture for this at the weekend. I’m hoping that he won’t be 25-1 after this weekend

I’m a huge Teahupoo fan, but he’s very short just now

Teahupoo, 5/1, as mentioned on the 2025 bets thread.

He lost little in defeat in the Hattons Grace. If he runs to the same level as last season, it should be good enough to win.

Is Slade Steel staying over fences , if not would they be tempted here ?

He is in the same ownership as Teahupoo. Assuming he is OK, why would they need to run Slade Steel?

Last season’s Supreme is not looking like a vintage renewal. He also pulled hard in the early stages, so would he stay 3 miles?

I don’t believe he is that good. OK, he chased home Ballyburn at the DRF – but something had to finish second to him. He then won a poor Supreme where he got an excellent ride from Rachael Blackmore.

Agree he doesn’t look like a natural chaser, so he could be difficult to place. He would have no chance in a Champion Hurdle and the owner does not need him for this race.

JP will have better chances for the Gold Cup.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Corbetts Cross switches to this.

I’ve taken a chance on Minella Missile here.

Really liked him for The Relkeel last year, but not seen since that entry, which he didn’t take up.

Thought then he could develop into a contender for this, but even without the long layoff, which is an obvious concern, he’s still got loads to find now anyway.

Got him added to the market last week, when he started to appear the entries for other targets, so I’m happy to see him at least get an entry now for this.

Took up to 300’s, which although probably reflective of his chances at this time, still happy to have

    Edit 6th February

Topped up, even though he’s going to William Hill Hurdle

    Minella Missile 1000’s

    Franciscan Rock added on Day

Imagine someone reading this forum for the first time sees someone tip a horse up at treble figure odds for the stayers hurdle!

You’d think the man was a fool! :yahoo:

Until it’s pointed out that the man tipping them up is none other than the man the myth the legend… VtC!

Having watched most of the races for those in the Stayers, I was impressed
with Rocky’s Diamond. Mind you there hasn’t been a 5 yr old win the race
in the last 40 odd years (1972 was as far back as I could be bothered checking).
However the trainer, Declan Queally, stated “He’s very cool and acts like an
older horse. He’s entered in the Stayers’. I don’t know whether this is a good
enough trial but we’ll probably take our chance.” So he seems not to be the average
5 yr old. I was impressed with the way he won his races, but also in those that
didn’t work out he was nearly always making ground at the end of his race. He was
18/1 about an our ago, but the 2 bookies who were offering that have joined the rest
    on 16/1.

Rocky’s Diamond 16/1 with the vast majority.

Fully rescept Eli G’s Teahupoo so betting without market I am keen on.

Home By The Lee 4/1 w/o Teahupoo – Looks and feels a different hoss to the one we’ve seen last few years, big chance, bit worried by the Hendo one so each way 3 places on the safe side. That’s Betvictor offering that.

I’m duty bound to back Mystical Power though with no confidence. I’ll put a bit ew on Franciscan Rock tomorrow too once BOG starts

Just noticed looking at Nemean Lion’s form that he came 2nd in the Prix Chaudenay back in the day. That takes a bit of getting. Added him ew.

Lucky Place looks like he’ll relish the extra distance so he’s my pick

With my antepost gone i’ve plumped for
    Home By The Lee 15/2.
And a small e/w on Gowel Road 28s.
I’m hoping Gowel Road will set a decent pace.
    :good:
