Not a race I hit antepost apart from Bob Olinger , Ballyburn has the talent but I can’t trust him so gone in with Kabral du Mathan , it’s very open and Elliott running 2 shorties hardly inspires confidence in either

Funny they said pre race on RUK he was playing up and looked to be in a right old mood beforehand!Agreed Wilts … the winner let me down too many times in the past. I readily struck a line straight through him.

To say I’m devastated after that is an understatement. Backed Ballyburn before the Hattons Grace for this and it was over if he’d have gotten a clear sight of the last. That was almost an all time great ride from Townend.
To make matters worse, the horse who I thought was a certainty for last years World Hurdle goes and wins this year. Slevin has gave that horse more than one stinker of a ride in this race and finally gets his act together the year I’m not on.
