McFabulous gets an entry in The Persian War on Friday, I’ll maybe make him my first Cheltenham Antepost, probably wait till nearer Friday though.
October 7, 2020 at 22:08 #1505264I like Ronald Pump again this season. If he stays over hurdles, I would probably have an early bet at 20/1
October 8, 2020 at 06:47 #1505286I’m tempted to have a punt at champ for this …. I really do think his jumping could really go to pot when he gets with the established horses …what’s everyone’s thoughts
October 8, 2020 at 11:24 #1505295I bet him for Stayers last year. Not totally ruled out a few quid this year either.
October 8, 2020 at 12:28 #1505302Id make him fav for this if he turned up
Cant have him at all over fences unless nicky has worked miracles with his jumping
At this stage iv had a free bet on thyme hill
Feel like a lot of the horses ahead of him in the market have big doubts about there participation
But il also be keeping a close eye on Paisley Parks first run, as if his run last year and the well publicised medical problems haven’t effected him then he’s a huge price
Also a huge fan of mcfabulous, but think he may be more suited to the Aintree 2m4f grade 1 hurdle, though if he does stay 3 miles strongly he could be very good as he has a good turn of foot
October 8, 2020 at 13:54 #1505318Thyme Hill 12-1 and Paisley Park 7-1 for me at this stage.
October 8, 2020 at 21:06 #1505370Thyme Hill – the news I’ve been hoping for
” He was a bit unlucky at Cheltenham and he stays really well. He is in good form at home and we have decided to stay the route of the Stayers’ Hurdle rather than go over fences this season. His first race could be the West Yorkshire Hurdle at Wetherby on October 31 “October 9, 2020 at 15:27 #1505452Mcfabulous won as he liked as youd expect in that field
A serious prospect going forward
October 10, 2020 at 17:39 #1505644Happy with McFabulous yesterday, and unlike Saint Roi last week, I actually took the plunge beforehand. Still work to do, but obviously going the right way.
I mentioned Great White Shark on the first post, and after today, I’m still very interested. Introduced by Betway at 20’s. That’s not big enough to tempt me yet. Obviously The Mares is an option, but I’d be hard pushed to bet her for that yet, having bet her at 1000’s for it last year. She’s not in that market yet anyway.
October 10, 2020 at 19:44 #1505664Agree with the sentiment on here regards Champs jumping. Henderson tends to dodge the big questions until Cheltenham so I can easily see it lining up in the gold cup off the back of a soft prep campaign. I think JP will be aiming sire de burelais at the stayers
October 13, 2020 at 18:42 #1505935Added Great White Shark here, didn’t quite get out of October without a Cheltenham bet. I tried.
Great White Shark 33’s
McFabulous 20’sOctober 13, 2020 at 18:43 #1505936THYME HILL 16/1
Bet here for me put him in cheltenham 2021 bets thread
October 15, 2020 at 00:08 #1506095Elliot certainly looking at this for Sire Du Berlais, so if things go well for him, I could have a trio here, but I’ll hold off right now.
October 15, 2020 at 12:14 #1506129The one I like is Fury Road. Although i’m surprised he is supposedly staying over hurdles this season, 20-1 represents good value as he was unlucky not to win the Albert Bartlett last March and beat Thyme Hill fair and square, albeit by only a length.
McFabulous is another on the shortlist but sticking with Fury Road at 20s for now.
October 15, 2020 at 13:22 #1506140I’m surprised at that, too; I’ve read their reasons but I wonder if he schooled poorly.
October 27, 2020 at 17:18 #1507520THYME HILL looks like turning up at Wetherby this week i think can win it but of course this only a starting point so has not run a shocker still think be main player come festival.
November 3, 2020 at 00:20 #1508424I’d never forgive myself if I didn’t bet him after him making the shortlist early doors, so I’ve added The Storyteller here at 33’s.
Talk of him going back over hurdles after his heroics on Saturday, and although he’ll be 10, this is where he’ll surely be heading.
He’s better than ever this year, so I’m happy with this price.
Great White Shark 33’s
McFabulous 20’s (cashed out)
