    STAY TRUE 14/1 Unibet

Only had 2 starts won his maiden well and think he was best horse at Lingfield just losing out.
    Stacks of progress to come.

    2 dark horses

    ROOSENVELT 33/1

Win 1m4 maiden should tell you everything about him and likely plans for him to was last behind Stay True before winning next time. The 2nd
Delta ran a solid race on Saturday and this AOB Horse not to be under estimated

    TYCOON

No price yet but out of the dark horses he interesting 3rd behind Jonquil in maiden.
Win at Windsor since. Dam supplied Salvator Mundi so will stay. From owners of Leger winner Masked Marvel and going similar route at Goodwood this weekend

Will Lambourn run here? He would clearly stay but I wonder if The Lads would prefer to send a Derby winner to the Arc instead?

Tennessee Stud looks a dour stayer and the 10/1 makes some appeal. I just wonder if he would be vulnerable to something with a bit more class.

Lambourn keeps beating him though Oscar and Lambourn wants 1 mile 6 himself.

I’d love to get a price for Lazy Griff for the 2026 Gold Cup.

I can’t see The Lads wanting to run a dual Derby winner here. They would have done if the Triple Crown was on the line but what value is there running him on Town Moor?

I don’t think The Lads will risk him against the beast that was gaining on him hand over fist!

I’d be staggered if there wasn’t a late developer miles better than all of those who ran in the two Derbies

CAS – going for the Leger might make him more attractive to the Japanese breeding market?

Let’s face it – he’s not going to be much more than a NH stallion if he stays in UK/Ire.

“I can’t see The Lads wanting to run a dual Derby winner here.”

They got Los Angeles, Jan Brueghel, Whirl at least for Arc candidates. Maybe even Minnie Hauk. You may be right but they got quite a few other candidates this year atm. Not sure who AOB would throw in the Leger as a major contender off the top of my head.

Fair point Glad but if they go down the Leger route it would be a tacit admission by The Lads that he is not much good.

Jan brugheul Epsom run looking pretty good after calandagan hacked up today.on good ground Jan wins again imho. Hopefully they both go to the arc though the lads spoilt for choice there. Lambourn just does enough. Surely have a pacemaker next time.

    ‘Lambourn just does enough”

This is one racing term which really gets on my nerves.

For a horse to only “just do enough”, it has to understand the concept of a race: it has to realise that it is there, on that day, at that time, to finish in front of the other horses at some point which it doesn’t understand.

That means it has to know both the distance of the race and where the finishing post lies.

Now, there may be an argument that a front-runner does not want to let another horse get past it, which I accept. But a horse coming from behind cannot possibly understand at what point it needs to be in front of the other horses.

Looking at it logically, a horse cannot possibly know where a race ends. Therefore, the entire concept of “only just does enough” is preposterous.

At least the horse didn’t jump “from fence to fence” ;o)
