I’ll make a point of returning to the peaceful little place when NH resumes, presumably next Spring.

Have Arena actually confirmed that the turf track will be reinstated along with the AW?

Wouldn’t be surprised in the least – though sad – if NH and their peculiar sole turf Flat meeting were sacrificed to ensure adequate funding of the new god AW.

According to the reply on the horse racing questions section of Teletext yesterday Southwell is due to reopen in December at the earliest.

December 11th according to today’s Post. I’m presuming they’re restoring the fibresand? Certainly hope so.

Like Carvillshill, I assume they will be sticking with Fibresand since there’s been no statement to suggest a change. But I wonder where they go for a supply?

Frankly, I’ve no idea who produced Fibresand in the first place, but with no other track now using it, there can’t be much profit in supplying one customer.

Does anybody where it comes from?

i hope it does re-open in december as i will be lining up a trip for the re-opening day and it’s a course i haven’t been to as yet – i have heard it’s a great day out there if you like racing
