Was already on Ultragold at 20s and puzzled to see him out to 33s. Is it because he might not stay? I think he will. If I’m wrong I might as well be hung for a sheep as a lamb so I’ve topped up. Might add Bigbadjohn too.

Ultragold stayed 3 miles as a novice and Topham winners generally tend to stay a little further than 2, 5. I think he is amazing value at 25/1. Bet365 are offering 5 places at 20/1, so there’s plenty to like! Very much on my National radar.

Yup, Ultragold for me as well.

Been following Grass about the last couple of days like a Collie Dug with this horse, and managed to steal a bit of 33’s 5 Places with Paddy Power earlier on. Not for much though as most of the stake is at the 20’s.

Thomas Brown for me. He tends to run well first time out and has dropped a couple of pounds. I’m on at 12-1 which looks good ew.

I really like both Emerging Force (7/1) and Dark Flame (8/1) here. Both are young improving horses who look like they’ll relish this. I had an each-way go on Ballykan as well given the stable form and he’s actually quite well handicapped in my opinion.

    Best of luck all.

Thanks, all. I just hope his rise for this doesn’t discourage Jonjo from running in Betvictor where I’ve backed him at 25s. He’ll go up another 7 minimum, probably more.

Sorry Joe, missed this yesterday, and was only on for a few minutes. Great call. Those are the winners that make the difference. Not the price or the winnings. The ones that win like that, that was a performance and a half, I’ve no doubt about that.

A horse to follow now for me as well.
