Slow site loading

Anyone else having problems loading the TRF site?  Seems like some advertising content from "mediaplex" is causing the problem?

intermittent hanging pages – sometimes closing the ie browser and opening another one works, sometimes not – give up for a bit and try later – that works

been happening for a week or so imo, taking into account i got a new puter yesterday

and i’ve tried other pc’s too, same intermittent hanging problem though … :(

I am glad it is happening to others, I thought it was my daily case of San Miguel and a bottle of Mighty Murray Red wine that was responsible…Phew!:(

I can now sit back in alchoholic bliss enjoying the blank page knowing it ain’t my fault….:(

I had the same problem, deleted it from my favourites and cleaned my cookies. Then typed in the url and saved it. Working fine since

I get the problem a lot with ie6, but very rarely with firefox.

Also, the problem goes away when I disable java.

It’s a guess (as I don’t know java), but I think it could be the BBC stuff on the left that’s causing the problem.

(or it might just be a symptom)
