Jeremy Corbyn has condemned the “totally unacceptable” language of the shadow health secretary Wes Streeting after he called him “senile”.
Raising it in the House today (Mon 14/11), Mr Corbyn said he considered the term “very unparliamentary and actually quite demeaning language towards people who suffer from dementia or senility in our society”.
He also said he had received a lot of messages from people who were also upset by the remark as “they have loved ones that they have lost to dementia”.
