I like Fairalong (33), Blazing Bailey (16) and Gansey (40), as well as Roll Along (40)[could have got 50s or more, the next day!]
Blazing Bailey is entered for some other races, though, so it seems a bit more speculative, despite the shorter price.
April 15, 2011 at 12:27 #350377Fair Along and Belly Boy are non-runners
April 15, 2011 at 16:49 #350400hey they think nipper is on top form, and wiv a spot of rain tonight he will be on his fav ground, and ofcoarse he has the one and only mcoy on board.. however an awfull lot of extra weight?? i just hope he just comes home safe , fingers tightly crossed. xxxxxxxxxx
April 15, 2011 at 18:36 #350410Thanks beckster; yes, good luck to him. By the way, how’s Noland? We thoght he was going to run at Aintree. Hope he’s ok; he had a hard race last time.

April 15, 2011 at 21:37 #350428The Minack (when did Ruby last do 10.1?) and Beshabar for me
April 15, 2011 at 21:43 #350430i like always right in this also think thats rhytm is a big price at 50/1 if he puts in a clear round which is a big if
April 15, 2011 at 22:11 #350443For me its Gansey at 40-1 Ew extra distance should help his jumping.
April 15, 2011 at 22:30 #350452Gone to Lunch looks very tasty at 25/1 E/W.
Loves this race and has 10 stone.

April 15, 2011 at 22:38 #350454Ah,someone has finally mentioned what I think will be the winner.
Runner up in the last two renewals, came back from almost dying after last years’ race to win 2 points and ran well in the Foxhunters.
Seems to need extremes of trip these days and the stable is in sparkling form at the mo’.
Gone To Lunch it is.
April 15, 2011 at 23:45 #350466Piled more on Chicago Grey. Ladbrokes giving 6/1 – 6/4 for a place? Yes please! Paul Carberry was in good form today, gave Aghill an awesome ride, come on boys, get on!
April 16, 2011 at 07:38 #350489Not an inspired choice I know but Chicago looks the winner to me, won The Foxhunters with something in hand and should take all the beating.
April 16, 2011 at 09:17 #350506Is anyone else really keen on Regal Heights e/w at 33s?
April 16, 2011 at 09:39 #350509I’ve gone totally mad in this. No idea how or why. I expect it’s subconscious compensation-seeking after having nothing in the National last week. No Panic’s a ridiculous price, my main bet, but Merigo, Gone to Lunch and Poker de Sivola all have big chances. I’ve done CFCs and CTCs with those 4 and Chicago Grey and Always Right.
Also done my main 4 in doubles with Brae Hill & Brick Red in the 3.45.
April 16, 2011 at 14:41 #350567close to a big payout, did timmy bottle the 2nd last?
Massive run
wd Beshers, game as an onion
April 16, 2011 at 15:01 #350570A cracking race!
No, Timmy Murphy didn’t bottle the second last. Merigo was jumping right all the way and he had to just let the horse get it right at the end of the race.
Fine performance by the novice winner and with a Scottish owner, Welsh trainer and English jockey, three of the four home countries were kept happy! Cracking performance again by Merigo who lost very little in defeat. John Wade has had a corking season with his chasers and Always Right ran a stormer in third, just never quite getting in a blow at the winner. A nice one to take forward for next season’s staying events.

April 16, 2011 at 15:15 #350573disagree, not his finest hour all round, could have gone for home sooner to boot
cheers to paul nicholls tho, neptune doesn’t run and merigo pops in the history books, lovely
