Incredible loyalty shown from the 90%, i am most impressed Grasshopper!
it just shows how most of us could see from day one that there never was a problem with Sams riding! 5,000 views in 5 days says it all! but will the blinkered 10% realise it! I doubt it and thats what its all about, opinion and expressing it!December 5, 2008 at 01:29 #194437Tell me, GWILSON77…………who rides Noland at Punchestown on Sunday?
100% say it’s Sam Thomas.
December 5, 2008 at 01:39 #194439Very good Grasshopper, but i am sure a percentage maybe 10% would
say he shouldn"t, and that would be their opinion! Master Po would have told you that all is not Black and White in the world!December 5, 2008 at 01:43 #194440Goodson.
December 5, 2008 at 01:50 #194441Have yer sel a Sweetheart Stout! i recommend it to anyone who wants to

December 8, 2008 at 05:13 #195341From a betting angle, I imagine if more punters are hesitant in backing his mounts then perhaps those who persevere with him are more likely to get better value for money on whatever he’s riding. I was wondering though, do bookies initially price-up solely on the potential of the horse or do they also take into consideration the current form of the jockey?
December 8, 2008 at 05:40 #195343he mostly always hesitates 2 or 3 out on horses, bad judge of pace, when he got beat on the odds on shot yesterday, he leaves it till last and trys to press, thinkin hes got a double handful when hes not, he needs to kick on sooner.
He has probably been copying Ruby Walsh who had a run of such experiences, finishing second on Nicholls trained fancied horses who finished second in mid-November.
In most circumstances the obvious explanation is the best – beaten by a better horse.

John Coffee,
Do you go around pearing in to all jockeys houses? What Sam Thomas gets up to in private should remain private.

My guess would be that had Sam Thomas returned the favour and peaked through the window of our dear johncoffee, then he might have witnessed said member doing his proverbials on one of his mounts.
Bless the Betfair-minded (it is nearly Christmas after all).
December 8, 2008 at 19:22 #195448you kind of people shouldnt be allowed on this forum, all your doing is praising what a good horse master minded is. DONT WE KNOW?, alot of people have the same opinion about some jockeys as me, if you dont, fair play. dont keep turning it into an argument. im just posting what i think about him, and wanting to see replys of what other people think.
December 8, 2008 at 20:50 #195461There may be some consensus with the limitations you think Sam Thomas has as a rider, but very little with the manner in which those limitations have been conveyed. How is dubbing him the W-word adding the first thing to the debate?

December 8, 2008 at 21:59 #195473If PN was looking to reaplace Sam how many jockeys would move home lock stock and barrell to join the yard as second jockey? Probably around 60% of those riding today…….sorta makes you think does it not?……..Sams the man and will remain so for some time to come and what the Billy Bunters or John Maxwell house’s think don’t mean sh*t
December 9, 2008 at 19:16 #195660Good ride by Sam on Noland.

December 9, 2008 at 19:19 #195663It had determination written all over it. Inspired ride amid all the flak he’s been taking of late.
