On that point, today Chelsea (under sanction due to Russian ownership) play Newcastle United ( no sanctions applied despite owners’ country Saudi Arabia beheading 81 prisoners yesterday and carrying out a sustained bombing campaign in Yemen).
Until the Saudi’s stop being politically strategic allies, that won’t change. I’m no political heavyweight, but I suspect its more to do with that than Newcastle being geographically based in the north of England.

@robnorth- agree completely that the Saudis should never have been allowed to acquire the Barcodes, but the point I am trying to make is a different one.

They NEVER intended to be involved in peace talks. The only thing they’re interested in is gaining more time to bomb Ukraine. This peace talk c**p goes on for about two weeks, but there hasn’t been one single meeting that proved meaningful towards a possible ceasefire. Just ceasefire, forget the word peace.
