Alpha Des Obeaux in to 6/1 with some firms. The dream is alive lads! So many of us must be on at 20’s after the surge of support towards the end of last year. Just needs to get there now.
Mark Enright said in a preview last night “Alpha Des Obeaux is flying it at home, solid e/w but Coney for me”.
Coney now gone and Might Bite friendless in the market.
Good to hear a positive report from ME (albeit second hand reporting mentioned by someone on Twitter), I would like to hear official report from Mouse himself that all is well!
I realised that an ADO win would have me in profit by 5 times even if the other 27 races are losers for me.
He’s probably my biggest beg ever and definetely my biggest win if he can do it.
March 4, 2017 at 04:27 #1289800Might Bite seems to have really split a lot of judges. If the race was held round Doncaster or Newbury he’d be odds-on. He’s still the most likely winner, after all he might well have won the King George.
Whether he can get past American up the hill will be the question.
LOL I reckon the question is whether American will even make it to the hill

Jumps like a stag, stays all day and Champers On Ice/Label Des Obeaux could have franked the form by the time he runs. May lack some class that others might bring to the table but I think he could be bang there attacking the last if the ground isn’t too lively.

PU.
March 5, 2017 at 15:04 #1290021Mouse Morris just interviewed after Wishmoor win where he was questioned over ADO. ‘Hiccup over xmas but he has been well since, so you just have to hope for the best’.
Coming to form as well. 4 runners in recent days with 3 winners
March 5, 2017 at 15:58 #1290028I don’t think ADO jumps well enough.

Behave Charles, don’t be saying stuff like that round here please

He made a few mistakes in his first few runs over fences but then jumped very well in the Drinmore (barring getting in close at the 9th) and was foot perfect last time out. There was a great camera angle of ADO taking the 6th splitting Coney Island and Our Duke out jumping them both. He goes wrong after the 5th and that was that, but I cannot subscribe to ADO doesn’t jump well enough. I am not saying that with betting blinkers on Charles. I made a point of watching all his races over fences back before replying and I am happy with the way he jumps. Up the Alpha

Alpha des Obeaux was the Ante-Post fav for this last year at 8/1 but just by the very nature of the way his Trainer operates he’s drifted out to a high of 25’s on the machine, the horse has done nothing since Xmas and yet he trades at 6/1 now..That speaks volumes to me.
March 5, 2017 at 20:28 #1290066Setting aside the injury scare I don’t think any of the ADO backers on here, myself included, could have envisioned a better run up to the race in terms of competition. Our Duke is missing Cheltenham, Coney Island injured, Bellshill has not materialised into the threat we though he would be and a number of others run elsewhere. On top of that, MM has hit very decent form and it all looks to be (fingers crossed, touch wood), falling into place nicely.

Good reply, thanks for the info. I just remember him being a bit iffy early on but looking at his last 2 outings he should be OK; I imagine he’s done some schooling since as well but he seems the type that’s got a mistake or two in him.
March 10, 2017 at 09:36 #1290794American goes NH Chase. May help Might Bite get an easier lead mind. More good news for ADO

You would assume after last time that acapella bourgois will be tanking along in the lead for aslong as he can
March 10, 2017 at 10:29 #1290802Very good point. Forgot about AB.

And all the other jockeys will say after you and just ride for second? Be surprised if he has the pace to last three fences. An absolutely shocking price. So bad he might even get beat by Alpha Des Obeaux.
Very hopeful for Royal Vacation. Plenty of deadwood at the top of market and if Might Bite fails to reproduce around Cheltenham he has a big chance.

Of course they wont i was merely saying hes likely to go off in front for aslong as possible

I wasn’t querying your prediction just that last ‘performance’. The likes of Walsh and Russell have been bigging up that race as a way of excusing their own ‘rides’ in that race.
