That’s lacking a bit in ambition, isn’t it? I’m thinking in terms of a Galileo 1-2-3 in the Gold Cup!
June 16, 2010 at 21:06 #301277Ooo I didn’t realise Age Of Aquarius was one of his too, Gerald.
Galileo should be a jumps sire at this rate. Three days into Royal Ascot and his best chances are over the maximum distance! I hope no-one from Coolmore is reading this.
June 16, 2010 at 21:17 #301279Sorry for the late post guys but have been a bit busy (thanks to Gerald again for helping out).
Standings after Day 2 are:
The Young Fella
– £192,868
Roosterbooster
– £148,650
Mr Wilson
and
thehorsesmouth
– £94,482
Trapper John
– £94,353
And as things stand, the booby prize currently goes to
eddie case
on £8,745
Still all to play for.
p.s. Gerald, my chances have took a major blow with the 2 Hallings coming out of the Gold Cup. I now have zilch chance. Hopefully the prize goes to a good home!

Thanks for the hard work Albrookes, shame about your runners!
Plenty to play for as you say!, Ascot Gold Cup could be a 1-2-3 for Galileo.

I threw in Halling because he had a couple in the Gold Cup until the decs came out so I thought it might be a sneaky one that could pay off.
Hopefully it’s the Coolmore stallions that win it for someone as they’ve been generous.
June 17, 2010 at 10:37 #301424And as things stand, the booby prize currently goes to

on £8,745
No need for that Al, you could at least wait till the end of the competition before trying to humiliate someone!!
June 17, 2010 at 11:24 #301444Don’t worry Eddie – with all those Danehill Dancer’s still to run I think you’ll be mid-table at worst.
The Gailieo line up in Gerald’s list doesn’t look too hot. I think I’ve blown it!
It’s a brilliant prize too. Maybe I’ll just send a photocopy to the winner!!
June 17, 2010 at 13:51 #301488The Galileo list is Mr Wilson’s, Cormack, and it looks quite good to me.
Oasis Dream has just got a second minor winner, with hopes of a 1-2 in the £400,000 Golden Jubilee with Showcasing and Main Aim to come.
I think it is the Dubawi selection which has blown it for us Cormack, as I’m fairly confident of Oasis Dream coming top, and Galileo second.
June 17, 2010 at 14:24 #301500Sorry Eddie – was only trying to make sure people realise how miraculous your comeback will be!
And yeah Gerald, Oasis Dream looks good but Dubawi is letting a few of us down at the minute.
June 17, 2010 at 15:02 #301510Kevcal
‘s just got a right skinner with
Giant’s Causeway
. I believe Rite Of Passage should have just shot him clear. Well done Kev.
June 17, 2010 at 15:42 #301520Last two races of the day are very minor, so won’t update again until after the Coronation Stakes tomorrow.
Here are the leading sires after the Britannia:-
257795 Peintre Celebre
170310 Acclamation
148650 Anabaa
148637.5 Giant’s Causeway
141925 Tagula
138347.5 Singspiel
117340.5 Green Desert
98661 Oasis Dream
97562.5 Galileo
96840 Observatory
85737.5 Dansili
63480 Red Ransom
62310 Elusive Quality
56770 Rahy
53800 Arakan
53800 Desert StyleJune 17, 2010 at 16:11 #301525Gosh, that was a bit premature. Dubawi just beats Danehill Dancer on the nod in the 5th, and the Stewards will be a bit embarrassed to give Her Majesty a win in the Stewards’ Room.
June 17, 2010 at 16:45 #301538…and another decent pot for Dansili to end the day.
Must be tight at the top now.
June 17, 2010 at 19:22 #301583Well here we go for the Day 3 round-up.
Rite Of Passage certainly provided Kevcal with a great boost being the only nominator of Giant’s Causeway in this competition but as it stand he’s going to need another 2 good days to scoop this prize.
The Young Fella
– £338,149
Kevcal
– £251,570
Stilvi
– £242,840
cormack15 and Gerald – £224,609
Mr.Wilson and thehorsesmouth – £219,825and no Eddie, you’re no longer on the bottom

June 17, 2010 at 20:54 #301601Need another big day for Dubawi tomorrow Gerald but, from my own point of view, I think your Oasis Dream might trump my Galileo.

MRW
We put in a bold show MrW. Is it statistically posibble for us to come with a wet sail?!
