Having watched the race I could have ridden it better.

A truly shocking ride, His ride is one of the reasons I seldom bet anymore.

It was by far and away the best horse in the race. Still his dad and the rich Arabs will still put him up/

What will he do when his dad retires and the Shiek packs it in.

    Hopefully retire himself.

Good lord above are you still here, no idea?

Cormack, can you have a quiet word with him – he’s killing my punting with his miserable postings. He’s the forum Jonah too. Cherry blossom will fall from the tree when he appears.

This calamitous slice of doom deserves dissection once more. *sigh*. And I’ve got Doncaster to sort out…

Having watched the race I could have ridden it better

An armchair jockey is the Emir’s favourite eunuch, no idea. He can watch, discuss, analyse, applaud and (if he dares), denigrate the Emir’s lusty performances atop the gilded silks, but the sultry concubines from far and wide will always be out of reach. So the Emir’s favourite eunuch learns to be wisely silent.

    ]A truly shocking ride

You’ve described rascally old Youmzain to a tee. A cunning layabout and shirker. A resurrected hybrid of Boadicea’s chariot driver, the Lone Ranger and Fred Archer would struggle to get this one home at the top level. Unlucky runs are in Youmzains nature. It’s what he does.

Some horses lead and some follow – and then there is Youmzain.

His ride is one of the reasons I seldom bet anymore.

So you keep telling us. Was it you to whom I posted this refrain, no idea?. If so, you really didn’t learn from it, so (sigh) here it comes again. From the Bible According to Stewart Simpson (1980)

    "

How many times during your gambling years have you been told "you’ll never beat the bookies" or "win today, give it all back tomorrow?" Who are the people telling you this? I’ll tell you. The one paced plodders of life! They have no success, courage or sense of adventure themselves and get their kicks by telling you how wrong you have been and how the world is a conspiracy against the little working man.

Dump these people immediately or they will drag you down into the mediocrity with them

    !"

It WAS you, no idea. I remember now, you ol misery generator, you ol Ichabod Crane of headless doom, you.

It was by far and away the best horse in the race

So was Presvis, but neither horse was suited by the way Nad Al Sheba rides. It’s a

    rabbit paradise

to shame Watership Down. Anyone watching Dubai’s epic carnival throughout the winter would have known this. I had a heroic lump on Presvis yesterday and am kicking myself for not predicting/remembering the bias in advance. Or backing it each way. Or the easy lead afforded to American rabbit Well Armed in the world’s richest race.

    My fault, no idea.

Nor Dicky Hills’, Ryan Moores’, the Fairy Godmother’s, the missus’, the kids’, the cats’, Gordon Brown’s or the alignment of the stars in the Plough Nebula. My fault.

By the way, the difference between you and I, no idea, is that I’ll get the Presvis money back in the Eclipse and grapes will still wither on the vine when you pass by.

Still his dad and the rich Arabs will still put him up/

    Oh, the bitterness. The bitterness.

What will he do when his dad retires and the Shiek packs it in.

Enjoy his achievements no idea, I would imagine. And it’s Sheikh.

Hope this Sunday Morning wisdom helps. Shut the door on your way out, there’s a good chap.

YOUMZAIN, should have an Arc, a Coronation Cup and a Sheema Classic
under his belt! No question! Why hasn"t he? is it because he is an absolute rogue who flatters to decieve? No way!, its because he has been
badly ridden more times than any horse i can remember! Richard hills rode
a very poor race in this years Sheema, but the worst ride he ever got was
in last years Coronation Cup at Epsom! It wasn"t just the worst ride in any
Group 1 race of last year, but the worst ride i have ever seen in any Group 1 and the ride P,Eddery gave Bellotto in the 1987 2000gns was bad as was
G Starkeys ride on the "Legend" in the 1986 Derby! Mick Channon is a credit to racing for not saying what he must think!!
