Would like to be there but probably won’t be, due to the competing delights of Dundalk that evening (ffs).

How about meeting up somewhere after the second race. I don’t know Ascot but if someone could suggest a likely meeting place? If anyone planning to come along PM’s me I’ll pm back my mobile number to ensure that people have a contact if they can’t find us.
I’m going along and will be accompanied by the three other lads who help run The Racing Forum, Simon, James and Charles. All four of us are looking forward to meeting as many of you as possible. For my own part, having ‘known’ some of your TRF alter-egos for seven or eight years now I am eagerly anticpating putting a few faces to a few avatars.

May I suggest the far end of the parade ring – ie the "big screen" end.
Or more precisely if you are standing by the parade ring facing the High Street, with the stand behind you, it is the area on the left.

I’ll leave it to you lads/lasses to work out your meeting post for Friday but I can recommend one place where nobody can get lost – the statue of Motivator next to the pre-parade ring. Anybody leaning up against that would immediately be spotted as a TRF member!
Not sure if I’ll be free yet, but I may be up for the racing and/or any evening shennanigans that might be planned.
May I suggest the Lizard stand for a meeting point?
I like Adrian’s suggestion. I am assuming you can reach access the Motivator statue by the pre-parade ring from both Tatts and Members? Anyone know?

Yes anybody can get to Motivator if they are in Members (called Premier) or Tattersalls (called Grandstand). From there you can watch the horses saddling up and walking around before they go into the paddock.
That’s it then. Immediately after the second race at the Motivator statue by the pre-parade ring. For those I haven’t met before think Brad Pitt…
…then think of the complete opposite and that’ll be me.
There will be at least 4 of us to start with so we shouldn’t be hard to spot, unless there happens to be another shady looking bunch of characters hanging around the statue after the second race.
Can’t be there for Friday as i’m preparing for my Mother’s move to a Houseboat on the Thames…. but will be there on Saturday and Sunday staying overnight in Ascot for the first time

I can’t make Friday either, as I’m at work…but I will also be there on Saturday, with a couple of Finnish guests in tow. Would be nice to catch up with any forum members there. Maybe let me know.
