I’m pleased that I went in for Circus Maximus last month (nominated on 31 May in Ante Post thread)
the 8/1 looks quite good now. He put up a good display when winning the
St James Palace Stakes at the meeting last year. I think he would have gone close in the
Breeders Cup Mile, barring a sloppy start last time out. This will most definitely have
been the target and the money has certainly come for him, he’s as short as 2/1 in a couple
of places.

I think this looks a decent race so it’s no gimme, but I’m very keen on his chances

I took 7/1 about Campanelle as soon as they put her in the market. Was impressed with her debut at Gulfstream made a post about her a bit after on other part of forum. She looks as speedy as anything Ward has sent here. Ran a fast time with strong sectionals out in front and she will take a lot of catching. This is her game she is bred to be a sprinter and will take a good one to beat her.

You’re spot on Nathan, It should have been the Queen Anne Stakes for Circus Maximus
Fortunatately it won

I like the look of Happy Romance. her 1st race can be forgotten as she got into traffic problems more than once. Her 2nd race at Sandown is maybe not ideal to assess her as it was a 3 horse
affair, but she travelled well and kicked well away from the 2nd, Bungledupinblue who had
finished close behind Sacred and Sardinia Sunset on her previous run,and that pair feature
here today. Going by the way HR put daylight easily between herself and Bungledupinblue, then
on a line through that she should have the beating of that pair. I think she’s better value at 12/1 than Sacred who is less than half that price.

Yes, I wouldn’t argue with that, she was very good at Sandown.
This may have come a little early after that would be my concern but I like Hannon as a trainer so wouldn’t begrudge her winning.
Sacred’s draw doesn’t help her chance although the pace could be that side

Had kimari 12/1, campanelle 8/1 and palace pier 5/1 in one of the trixies I mentioned earlier in the thread
