I was thinking of the Eclipse, with the 3yo weight allowance.

He may be ground dependent, not sure about Good to Firm.

I see he’s fav for the St James’s Palace Stakes, but that only gives him 9 days to
recover although he looked to take it well today. He could do the double with the
Irish Derby, although I think “the lads” might have pencilled in High Definition
for that one. The Coral-Eclipse could be on the cards. he’s 14/1 for that one, I
reckon that will look pretty big if he does head there,

Yeah, might be worth taking something each way for Ascot if he doesn’t run everything else would shorten up you’d imagine. Chindit at 12’s perhaps

Good points to take on board. Would also like to see him at Royal Ascot Nathan but is it too soon?

Nice TTF horse Mike. WD he’s been improving with every race. :good:

14/1 will be massive if he does head to the Eclipse, BigG. But the chance of not heading there is why he’s anywhere near 14/1. :good:

Slower than standard by only 0.70 seconds. I doubt it was soft ground as advertised, so I would not say the winner was reliant on cut in the ground.

First three home drawn 2, 4, 1. Only element of caution I would sound, clearly a big draw bias. As usual.

French race distances can also be well off the mark.

Really? Well its the distance or the going, as that surely can’t have been soft ground over the advertised distance.

jockey saying he’ll stay 12f and could be an Arc contender
    Not convinced about that

I wouldn’t mind if he had a go at the Arc Nathan that was a pretty impressive turn of foot. They have so many options.

The thing with the Arc is it’s not a typical french race. They normally go hard early and stamina is tested. I’d rather Snowfall at this point for the Arc but can see the appeal if they are adamant he gets the trip

Last Dewhurst winner I can remember even running in the Arc as a 3yo is Dr Devious. No idea the last one to win it. Would be some achievement right enough. Hacked up today over 10.5f to be fair, so impossible to rule out.

Taking nothing away from a very good winner but that Cheshire Academy who finished 5th must be some serious horse also, along with Van Gogh ran a far bit better than the bare result considering the draws they both had.

I was on Megallan but flopped. Considering he was close second in Dante, I thought he would go good here.
