“The likely strong pace of a supreme wouldn’t be against Kilcruit either.”

I see that but it must be the Ballymore for him? Ruby Walsh said on RTV that he sees him as a middle distance hurdler, so that must be the way the team are thinking.

On to Day Three, and got eyes everywhere.

The opener is tough, and despite an abject run by stablemate The Mouse Doctor yesterday, I’ll have a wee EW on Golden Spear. He’ll hopefully be a big price.

I’m surprised at the 25’s for Kildoderry in the 1615, and I think he’s got enough in the book to make the six. Rider taking seven off is a big help.

I’ve not ruled out Ballyboker Bridge, but happy with 11’s for course specialist Blue Templar. I thought he’d be vying for favouritism.

In The Stayers I’m already with Heaven Help Us Antepost, but I’ll also be adding The Storyteller.

In the 1800, I’m hopeful of a big run from Pure Genius. 11’s was a big price, and I’m hoping this is his last run over hurdles, having bet him for NH Chase. I’m also keen on the rejuvenated Dallas Des Pictons, and happy to have him onside EW.

I’m hoping to see a big run from another Antepost pick, Janidil, in The Ryanair Novices.

Only one “possible” at this stage, and it’s Bigbadandbeautiful in the 1900.

    1540 – Golden Spear EW 7pls
    1615 – Kildoderry 25’s EW 6pls
    1650 – Blue Templar 11’s
    1725 – Heaven Help us 33’s EW
    1725 – The Storyteller
    1800 – Dallas Des Pictons 22’s EW 7pls
    1800 – Pure Genius 11’s
    1835 – Janidil 10’s

Ive really been enjoying this weeks racing, but I haven’t been betting too many, which has been a wise decision.

I have bet a few for the next two days though to round off the season.

In the 1615 Thu I really like Unexcepted, and I’ve taken 8-1, and in The La Touche Cup, Alpha Des Obeaux at 3-1.

In the stayers I took 33-1 ew 4 places on Saldier and it’s good to see a bit of blue on Oddschecker.

On Friday, I’ve taken 11-1 ew on Abacadabras. I think that’s a really fair ew price.

With you on Kildorrey VTC. He’s got a bit of a mad streak about him and needs to be put to sleep and just left to his own devices and pick them off late on but he is well treated and the claimer onboard got a nice spin last time to get used to him.

I find it interesting Keith Donohoe desserts The Storyteller for Ronald Pump despite having a real good season together and running a nice race in the stayers hurdle.
Hattons grace run behind Honeysuckle, even though he was likely flattered looks excellent run and he has been progressing for 18 months and had a light season, must be ready to rock for Keith to go for him and hard to see him out of the places.

Floueur is well worth an ew bet here, got going late on in the Martin Pipe to finish 3rd off top weight. Some might say it’s best staying away from horses getting going late as can be deceiving but this boys run can definitely be marked up.
Up with the pace early but then settle in behind the leaders, ended up midfield, went to take closer order and got badly checked twice. Dropped back to 4th or 5th last and was nursed back into it, travelled wide and stayed on strongly. Was giving Galopin De Champs a pound that day and couldve been a fair bet closer but for the bad luck. GDC may have loads left granted but he’s at least a 150 horse probably closer to 155 so Floeur likely still well treated.

Not a great day yesterday with only a place in the bumper and that was only because of extra place so here’s hoping for better today :D

Added Ghost Serge in the opener at 250’s. Obviously very hard to make a case for him, and he’s usually reluctant to start. Plenty of ability in his younger days though, and he’s had fifteen months off, and hoping new trainer has been able to get in his head. Unlikely.

No idea what was happening with Charcour there. Looked like the jockey was driving him with his body while reining him in otherwise, arms everywhere. Brakes absolutely slammed on from a horse that looked like it was having fun. I’ve never seen a horse retreat so fast.

I’d love if someone else watched its race to let me know what to think.

Fiftyp, it certainly looked strange to me, but at the same time, I don’t know if I could call it iffy. I don’t know what I’d make of that.
